It’s a nod to the show breaking bad. Fugue state is a cross between Walter white and amnesia.

On the show breaking bad the main character is named Walter white, and when he needs to explain to his family why he disappeared for a few days he claims to have suffered a case of temporary amnesia or whatever. Said he “must have been in some sort of a fugue state”.
