Last night I had some discussion going on between some friends!
Nowadays where I live most of the people only want to smoke the high potent cannabis variants! Specially strong haze is popular around here!
So been asking myself what would be the strongest most yielding autos we have?
In other word one of my friends wanna give it a try, but only under certain conditions!
Many aspects should be considered, when growing commercial crop. Since I am going towards it, I will explain you my way of thinking, maybe will help someone to see things in more productive way as he used to.
Besides management of plant (The strain should be carefully chosen and must be high yielding, potent and resilient as much as possible) at least next are important:
- management of time (Commercial grower should think about time he spends on breeding specific plant and how fast it is to achieve desired result. If you have plant with 30g in 80 days, you would prefere that one with 40g in 85 days but not that one with 35g in 110 days despite it yields more.)
- management of space (Commercial grower should think not only what he breeds, how much it gives in time but also about how much he gets from particular area. Space is almost everybodies concern. And it costs, must be covered with lights-I consider lights as part of "space" problem. Here we have a simple question. How many plants in my closet give me the best yield in space/time? 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ...? Plants that have abundance of resources always give more but do we really get the most out of them if growing 2 instead of 4, for example?)
- choosing the most efficient use of available resources. This one I want to develop myself. I think there are a lot of reserves inside our growing facilities. For example, we start with 2 lights and 8 plants. At the beginning there is abundance of light and at the end putting two more lights in would be very fine. Why not having 2 x 14 days, 2 x 35 days, 2 x55 days and 2 x 75 days old plants in the same place? Smaller plants and bigger plants allow same lighting regime and distance from the light could be adjusted anytime, as well as position of plants).
I hope you get the idea what I think.
Of course, there is a big problem with all above. Any measurements that you do not do yourself in your very particular place are nice piece of information but might be totally wrong for you.
