I know the potential for proper yields with auto's is there.. and yes the potency is reaching a level of par and maybe better than some photos... But as said in this thread.. if you are out for consistent quantity$$$ Photos with out a doubt are the way to go.. I think they are much more forgiving in the sense that you can make a few mistakes along the way and not have your yield greatly diminished as where with auto's you have such a smaller/ uncontrollable window in which a simple mistake can/could be detrimental to final yield and product... But having said that I love the Lil Ladies... I think they are one of best options for small personal grower out to try multiple variety's!! The Choice is urs ! Be safe!
What's going on with autos now is similar to what happened with photos in the 70s and 80s. A lot of today's strains trace their lineage back to strains like Northern Lights, Afghani, Skunk, etc. Breeders combined and worked them over generations to improve their potency, taste and yield. The average THC content has risen from around 5-8% to an average of around 15% with some strains now topping 20. The same thing is happening with autos. Another 5 years of breeding and I expect we'll be seeing 20% THC auto strains as well.
It took me awhile to get the hang of growing autos but once you get it dialed in, they are easy to grow. I think that when combined with LEDs they are perfect for the small grower with limited space.
High!
You can clone super-auto but after 6 weeks (best), super-auto are much more versatile.
Everytime you transplant, she will go back vegging....(that is why people are having problem finishing them cz they transplanted them)
you could treat her pretty much like a normal photo
Peace!
I've only transplanted in early veg, never after flowering has started. Do you have first hand experience with this?
G S check page 5. I realize h p isn't s auto. You were mentioning short flower photo. I was saying that s auto must have rudi in it or they wouldn't have a prob being cloned and wouldn't auto if you keep them unroot bound plenty of nitrogen and lots a light? Another question bout the ogre is it a superauto? Thanks muddy
Somewhere in the Flash forum Stitch talks a bit about his Stitch1, which is base plant that he works his supers from. I'm certain he said that they contain no ruderalis. I've grown Super Cali Haze and Super Stinky. Both flowered at around 5 weeks. I didn't try to clone them.
I'm not familiar with Ogre, only that I know it's not one of Stitch's supers. There are other breeders, like LBH, who are working on what might be called supers. Bigger plants that flower under 18-24 hours of light. Supers has kind of become a generic term to describe any plant like that. I don't know if Stitch has a trademark on supers, but he was the first to create them. So when I talk about supers, I'm strictly referring to Stitch's gear.
