New Grower Low humidity and high temps?

Actually, I run a decent-sized dehumidifier in my basement, as my basement has 3 rooms, the small room is the grow area, but I actually grow inside a large enclosure. The dehumidifier works the entire basement which is roughly 700ft^2, or roughly 65m^2, and it runs continuously, with an adjustable RH level. I have mine set to 55% right now, because the RH is higher in the summer months. They say ideally in basements, the RH should be around 45% to maintain mold/pest abatement, but even when I set my lights to be off during the hottest part of the day here, my RH doesn't go above 50% in the enclosure, which is exactly what I want. The drawback is that the RH gets pretty low with the lights on; not as much of a concern for a flowering plant, but it can slow growth during veg, not to mention I end up watering the plants more often. To me, the mold/pest abatement is worth it!! I'll just grow an extra plant to make up for any loss in yield..

But for me, it's vice-versa in the winter. The dehumidifier will go off, and I'll end up needing to add a humidifier either right outside the grow box, or maybe even in it, set on a timer to only run with lights on, because RH in my basement can get down in the teens when the furnace is on..

Another benefit to a dehumidifier is that it sort of works similarly as an air conditioner, so if you ran it right outside your grow area, if it's in an inhabited part of your home, you'll get the added benefit of dryer air, which can make the area feel cooler, as well..

Think I've sorted it now.
Temps at 28-30.4. And humidity at 34.
When lights are off temps at 24 humidity is at 50. Humidity a bit high when off but not to bad. Lights are only off for 4 hrs.
Not long now

That's sounds better. It took me a few weeks to realise humidity was rising during lights off

same. i didnt even realise my humidity went up so much when lights are off.
