im sure this is a common question that comes up. so i have done as much research as i can regarding my symptoms.

i currently have 4 plants under a 400W HPS. the plants are currently at day 43. temps are good at 26 degrees C. and humidity is at 40. and pH levels are good with run of around 6.7-7.0
the plants is in overall good health with nice buds forming. and currently drinking a lot, i water 750ml every 2 days aprox.

i have read that some yellowing leafs when the plant is in flower could be a nitrogen deficiency. i am using flowering nutes with a NPK value of 5-10-10 so i guess that is enough N to support the plant in flower right???

but i also noticed that it is mainly the lower fan leafs that this is happening to. i do have a thick canopy going so could it just be lack of light reaching the lower leafs?
is this just something that happens at the leafs get old?

thanks in advance,

sounds normal i wouldn't worry to much its just the plant using the energy stored in the leafs since they don't get much light

It's natural to loose your lower couple of fan leaves during this time in the plants life. Day 43 right? No worries bro.

A picture of the whole plant taken in natural light so we can see the color of the rest of the leaves would be helpful. If those leaves were well shaded at the bottom, then losing them at this time isn't a worry. However, you said your run off is between 6.7 - 7, which is too high. What is the pH of your feeds? With run off that high you could be looking at a nutrient lock out situation. If that's the case, then the yellowing leaves may progress up the plant.

Thanks guess for the advice guys

so i have pulled the worst affected out the back of the tent. and now looking at it in natural light, lockout could be the cause. some of the yellowing leafs have crept up the plant as you can see in the picture.

there is also a picture of the tent (pretty full) and also of the lower canopy.

so muddy, i pH my feed to 6.5 and my run of is around 7.0. if it is lockout what's the best action i should take?

thanks again guys, always helpful

Maybe these help

hey guys, so i think i figured it out....

I'm pretty sure it was a stupid mistake on my part. my pH pen was not calibrated correctly, it was ready around 1.0 of! so obviously that would cause some pH problems.

so flushed all the plants with actual pH'ed water. so will have to see how they do in a couple of days.

so lesson learnt, calibrate my pen more often......

thanks for the help guys, much appreciated

peace,
