Indoor LSD Auto (Barney’s)

I don't want to take away or change the smell or taste of my buds. If the block or bucket is in the same room as my tent, ona will be taken in.
Bro science??? How does this happen? By what mechanism(s) will ONA odor vapors (gases) be taken up by the plant and be retained in plant cells or fluids? Even if a few molecules over time diffuse into the plant they will comparably diffuse out when no longer exposed to ONA, such as surely during drying and curing. [Check with ONA manufacturer. I presume they will cite no plant uptake or residues].

Many people 'fumigate' their plants with rather toxic (including to humans) pesticide vapors/gases, such as use No-Pest Strips to treat insect and spider mite infestations, without uptake or retention by the plants. Various commercially-grown fruits and vegetables are exposed to pesticide vapors (that leave no residues) during their shipping and processing. And our plants don't take up terpenes/odors from other plants, such as from their neighbors in a tent.

A little wire to spead the longer branches. No photo today but the vpd is fine

I've been going by advice from the hydro store. Those guys have been growing for a long time.

I just verified with AI and ONA is widely discussed among growers with the advice to keep it out of the grow or dry areas and to try placing it at outflow points.

ONA states it is safe for plant and animals but it does not specify the smells and tastes of cannabis.

I think I'll play it safe.

I've grown single LSD-25/Fast Buds plants multiple times, about every other grow. A few times it has been truly extraordinary, normal in terms of potency but the most psychedelic cannabis I've had. Over 80% of the plants become purple to varying extents, and I get good (typical for me) yield per plant. Even if it does not come out psychedelic, the buds are always good, attractive too, and the strain is worth growing.

I've haven't tried any other seed company versions. I welcome hearing how the Fast Buds' and Barney's (and any other) versions compare.

I grew it once and liked the FB version. It was so dark it was almost black and literaly oozing globs of resin. Doesn't matter so much for me but the bag appeal was A+.

I only got about an ounce but it was under a 200w blurple and battling fungus gnats so I can't really judge the yield.

Like I said the effect wasn't like the original Barney's LSD. I know that Barney's auto vesion might not be either....but there's hope because it's the original breeder. If not I'll give the photo a go next year.

I'll be sure to post a strain/smoke report when the time comes, and I'll be sure to look back in my notes so I can make a comparison with the FB version.

Just a quick comment on the Barney's Liberty Haze mutant from last grow. It's done curing and the smell has changed from cat piss to citrus. At this time it isn't the lime pheno I hoped for but sort of like pomelo fruit.

Very potent, heady and certainly leaning on the Haze side but with enough body to balance it a bit.

DAY 48
She'll be 7 weeks tomorrow.
VPD still in the zone.
Slightly cooler weather so heat isn't building up too much at the moment.

Increasing the nute concentration has brought color to the leaves and no signs of toxicity.

Day 52.
I know its a bit late but much needed
Spa day!
1 hour later she looks very happy with her new haircut. I gave the lowers a spritz of chitosal.

Left of center is the branch I featured yesterday

Next isn't a clear shot but I wanted a long view to show the plant structure underneath
1000006733.jpg

There's still a few leafs that can go but that was enough for now. I'll take a look later this week.

I have to add how happy I am with the DIY trellis frame. I still needed a 4-5 twist ties but I have way more control with the many tie points. Next grow I might try to add another frame above for more support and guidance if needed.

I'm keeping the bungee ones just in case but I doubt that they will be needed.

8 weeks today.
Woke up to a flood in the tent, I vacuumed up about a gallon. I'm hoping it was a slipped emitter and not a pump.

The late defoliation stressed her and she slowed down but she'll be fine.

This is last night's vpd. Due to the flood it dropped way down this morning.
