Maybe 4 days to go. The buds are going to be small, I think.

I can blame it on P overdose and heat coinciding with neglect when Mom was in hospital. It fried alot of leafs just before the fattening phase of bloom.

Even so, a few shiny things caught my eye. There's going to be kief in the trim bin.

I vaped and smoked some little quick dried buds. Smooth without a cure. I'm gonna be happy with the final product.

Took some scrawny branches to trim. About 11g manicured. This (and my other jars of course) will get me through the cure period.

These little ones are a lot of work compared to larger branches.

Retrospective:

It really makes me want to address my fear of pruning. I would prefer fewer thick buds for sure, so I better get over it.

Defoliation was way too late.

We had an early season heat wave, when I took Mom to emergency followed by a 10 day hospital stay, I neglected the plant and didn't notice the P overdose.

Most leafs were fried. This corresponded with the bulking phase of bloom resulting in smaller flowers than expected.

Don't know the yield yet. Nonetheless the quality of the smoke and vapor is excellent.

I will post the weight after trim day, and do a proper smoke report after a few weeks curing.

You can be sure that breeders or seedbanks are describing their favorite plant, grown in perfect conditions.

Start lollipopping, just keeping the lowers from developing can revert a lot of energy to those tops. Easy to try just stay on top of it like anything! A good rule of thumb depending how strong your lights are is to take between 25-50% of the bottom foliage off, I usually take about a third and haven't had more than a couple grams of large on each plant.

You are right. Ive done heavy defoliation successfuly before. I waited too long.

From this and previous grows, I see that I must get comfortable pruning the little branches.

46g firm sm-med
14.5g loose buds and goofs

Plus nice big pile of dry sift with more to come.

The rH inside the grove bags is only 45% so the bags are in the tent with the humidifier on. Alternatively I could seal them in a foodsaver bag with a large boveda. Both methods have worked in the past.

This should get the humidity inside the groves to the zone in a day or 2. I suppose the final weights will be a bit more.

When a batch of bud gets too dry on me, i put a fresh bud in the jar and it usuallyhas enough moisture to bring up the rh of the whole jar

It got up to 58% 5 days ago. That is when I'll start the cure countdown.

But this weed is very good without a cure. In fact I've already placed well manicured buds in my everyday jars.

Did it autoflower?: Yes

Soil/hydro: Recirculating Drip on Hydroton.

Nutes: Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect

Light: 300w COB LED; 20/4 throughout

From seed to harvest date: 84 Days. Listed as 9-10w strain but I went for 12w.

Dry Yield: One plant, 156 g dry manicured

High/Effect Duration:
Heady. Hits fast and hard. Even small smounts obliterate any sense and sensibility, only use when nothing important needs to be done or decided on. Long lasting effects, at least 3+ hours.

Medical:
Pain Relief; Appetite; elevated mood.

RATE SCALE: (*) = bad, to (*****) = great

BAG APPEAL: ***
Small buds lower the score but they are very dense, frosty and smell strong.

THE GROWTH: ***
Only 1 out of 3 germinated
Growth was quite slow in the beginning
Meristem was like wood and didn't allow supercropping until preflower.
Trellis trained, Plant bushed out beautifully with a nice canopy. It was a very happy plant (up until the P burn / heat wave / neglect during bulking phase.)

THE SMELL: ****
Lovely Lemon Garlic Funk with a bit of earth/nuts. In contrast the parent strain is more nutty earthy.

THE SMOKE: ****
Lemon and Pepper. Smooth and enjoyable both vaped and burned.

THE HIGH: *****
Really strong, mind bending. Smaller doses suggested. Feels very similar to the parent strain. Psychedelic with visual disturbances, expansive thinking, music sensitivity, and CEV about 30 minutes in. Heady with a slight body buzz. Moderate pain relief.

Bottom Line
It was an enjoyable grow. 5 ½ oz is decent with most of that being top buds. More importantly it is good weed.

I hoped it would be like the parent strain and while the scent and taste are different the effects are very similar so I am happy.

Note that these LSD AUTO seeds, and the LIBERTY HAZE were in single seed promo packages and might not be very fresh. Both strains had only one out of three germ rates and very slow starts. Seeds are expensive and I normaly have 3/3 germ so that is unacceptable. That said, the surviving plants yielded very well and produced top quality smoke.

Next time I order from The Vault I will insist on the fresh pack size that I ordered.
