Afternoon gents Ive grown plenty of plants in my time but never really experimented with lst i usually just top too 8 colas on 8 plants and let them grow but being in uk the missus wants me to half my plants because well it’s illegal here but problem is I still need the same yield each time , I’ve been experimenting with lst with no problems I’ve recently just topped all my cola/side branches trying to create as many as possible I just need a little bit of advice on what height do I put them in my flower tent and flip them .height is not a problem I’ve about 4 foot above them still and light can be adjusted . I’m looking for big bushy plants with a big yield I’ll share some pics with you guys, I was thinking about maybe 2/3 more weeks veg but as I’ve never really lst’d before not sure how big they’ll actually get especially the sour D from calli connections as left to grow normally it doubles in height TIA guys

Uploaded side and above of each plant

I would suggest that you lst until you have used up all the available acreage/floor space and then flip, the stretch will take care of the height, you should see a sea of green aiming straight up.

personally I use a scrog mesh (photo's) just to keep a level canopy, because I have height limitations.

Brilliant thanks for the advice I’ll just keep topping and growing them until the room is full then flip , Ill buy some mesh and scrog next time Not very organised this grow tbh then I’m going to take a cutting off each soon to start the veg for my next round

No worries, it’s a learning experience

i feel its important to remember that the more times you top and multiply the number of bud sites, each site will be slightly smaller in the end result, LST by itself spreads the plant wide and fills the space and the bud sites will be fewer but slightly larger (than muliple tops), getting a balance to fit your space is down to practice and experience, in general I top 2-3 x and leave it at that, but there are no hard rules as far as I am concerned.

Thanks bud I actually didn’t think of that I’m going to keep that in mind I’m getting quite a lot of side branches forming in the last week or so I’ll be more practical with my topping doing it only when needed , anything else I should be aware of ?

get yourself some crocodile clips, (https://www.123rf.com/photo_1039672...paper-clips-arranged-on-white-background.html) they are great once you reach the edge of the soft walled grow bags, clip them on the edge and thread your ties through the clip handles to LST outside the bag. you can also use the preceeding bags sides and clips to LST across the space, (if you get my meaning) I use clips outside on the balcony, but in the tent I use a scrog mesh, its easier, like this https://www.autoflower.org/threads/two-homies-seeds-from-accidental-nana-pollination.73960/ I am pretty lazy when it comes to my grow so I keep it as simple as possible.
