Magic was cool enough to hook me up with what I consider an insane creation.
Magic Island F1 = Maui Mango Diesel x Kona Gold
I was witness to the mother of this cross and if this has any of her traits I'm expecting great things.
The father as well was seriously impressive

Let's get to the specs...
Strain: Magic Island
Container: solo cups (starting/sexing) 1.5-2.5gal (flower)
Soil: Roots Original amended for water only feeds
Nutrients: Recharge,kelp
Lights: CMH/ mixed leds

Onto the pic...

All popped tails yesterday and were placed into soil last night.
They'll veg for approx 2 weeks and will go into the flip thereafter til they sex out.
Once they have sexed they'll be re-potted and re-vegged for 2 weeks and then back to flower mode.

All the sprouts decided to join the party.
They all popped last night except for one which made it's way above soil today.

Unfortunately I can't find any pics of the male Kona Gold.
He was heavily stacked, tall and Sativa dom from my memory
Can't make any prognostications regarding flower times just yet...

---- oh man, that chick is phat!! ... such a Sati' beauty, right? ...fine boned, super lean fingers, like I haven't seen in a long time in fact -...and with nice density as well!... so frosty,... what was her aroma like Ronin, true to her name? .... How about bloom time on this Mama?... Diesels in general are anything but speedy if I recall rightly,...and with H'Island genes, I'm guessing that's also the case,...... I'm also curious about their mold resistance, which I figure to be pretty good considering the climate they're tuned to grow in, and the strong Sativa influence,... This is, of course, me fantasizing about growing something like this next season if they're ready! :smoking:

According to Magic the MMD finished in 64 days.
I'm never good on smell descriptions... but she was a nighttime only smoke.
Heavily narcotic and couch bound.
My hopes are that the Kona Gold male will bring some balance to the mix.
I'll have to wait and see how they do in regards to mold resistance...

-- ooo, that's good news right there, especially indoors; she finished faster than described! ... I'll be outdoors, but in general I find things finish faster for me than what breeders quote... the Psicodelicia was done about 10 days ahead of 8 weeks,.... So we'll see what the longer blooming KG side brings,...maybe a little hybrid vigor/speed will show, and she'll be faster!
...knowing how well you guys managed your environment, mold resistance testing may not even be much of a challenge for them!... good breeding will have selected out any serious problems in the parents already...
Huh, she gave a heavy narco-buzz? ... that's unexpected,... maybe she's loaded with linalool! I'm with you, hopefully the KG will livey-up the buzz some!

The Magic Islands are doing well.
A bit stretchy at the moment...
Here they are at day 12.

They'll veg for a few more days then get the flip to sex them out.

They have been in the flip for 6 days now under the CMH.
