Manganese defiency? Would be random...

Hi Sapphire :D Hmmm, putting all things together here, yes, it sounds like overfertilization,...maybe too many nute's too soon; the soil's fresh, and so already has a fair amount of nutrition in already, but the cumulative build up over the last few weeks or so must have push it over the edge for some of the girls,... Early on (certainly not now! LOL!) they just weren't big enough to draw enough of the nutes away before the conc. got too high...plus, if the soil got kinda dry at times, that too will temporarily elevate the relative nute' conc., again pushing things further into the red....(or yellow!! Wow, the run off was well under 6 pH, huh?)... krug and Muddy-san have the call on this, particularly the part about using a very weak fert' soln. on the final flush (maybe a little superthrive too for the upset roots),... I think this helps reduce the shock of suddenly near stripped soil... it'll be a pain, but will you test the other girls' soil too, even if there're no symptoms?,...maybe those that look okay won't need such an aggressive flushing..:toke: Good eye to spot it quick! The problem with early symptoms is that many troubles start out looking similar in the early stages,... only later, when damage has been done, do the symptoms become specific enough to diagnose- what a crappy catch-22, huh? :face:

To me it seems more like not enough watering with the feedings, not a problem with too many nutes. No nute burn symptoms. Anyway, the excess salts and things that had likely accumulated have been flushed from all the ladies. Last year I grew in the ground, this year I learned there should be runoff with every watering - even feeding. D'oh! Glad I asked for help early on that one - really wouldn't have guessed a pH problem!

Thanks all - :bong:
