Mars hydro 2 900 hanging distance

Just put my germinated seeds in the grown of my first ever grow, using a Mars hydro 4x4x8 tent and 2 Mars II 900
Lights the info that came with the lights says to hang them about 24-30 inches from canopy I currently have mine 26 inches away from the top of the soil. Anyone with a bit more experience, is there a perfect distance to have these lights from my plants at different stages of the plants life?

All i use is marshydro her are awesome pics of my 5x5 veg tent with my autoflowers and my 12 and 12 regulars I also have a 4x8 flower room it's run by Mars Hydro as well are included some pics if I can help you out in any way I do run hydroponic with a soilless mix

And you said you just planted your seeds were they germinated already with a Tap Root if so barely barely barely put the head of that seed under that soil doesn't need to be deep at all the root in the seed will do the work a lot of people plant their seeds too deep and then never pop up and they wonder why barely have that seat under the dirt if it has a Tap Root this is the only way I germinate 120 percent success rate and also you might want to find some cheap plastic water bottles cut the bottoms of them off about 3 to 4 inches high in place over your seeds like a little humidity Dome spray them two three times a day keep them moist keep the Dome on them until they get some leaves I mean petals not leaves then take the humidity domes off

When your seed head pops up you might have to help it take the shell off with your thumb and finger be very very very careful it will let you know when it's ready to come off Don't Force It it'll be all right off it then put your humidity Dome back on and let them petals open up

Thanks gunnerboy, are the lights at 26" away at a decent height for seedlings and yes I germinated all my seeds the paper towel method and planted them in a hole made with a pencil only as deep as the eraser bit

Hi Boomer,
During the germination stage, we would recommend 24-30' above the plants;
during the Veg stage, we would recommend 18-24' above the plants;
during the Flower stage, you can run the light at 12-18' above the plans.
This is just our recommendation, if need you can adjust the height of light according to you plants reaction.
