Last grow, I kept the light at 18" from the top of the plant for most of its grow because I was afraid of bleaching etc.
Out of curiosity, what are other TS 600 users using for distances? I'd like to get the light as close as possible.
These are the distances that Mars Hydro recommends.

When I first got my ts600 I had it at 18 inches all the way until one of my girls got too tall and end up being like 6 inch away from the light for couple of weeks. I managed to heighten my light by a few more inches by not using the existing cable clips. Ended up bodge jobbing it with some wire and bungee... I didn't want my plants too close as the light itself gets real warm... I'm also interested in what other users have to say. I've just bought a smaller tent for vegging my little ladies hopefully that will make more suoace so I can tie my big lady down and spread her

I just lowered the one that I'm using to 14 inches and I'll see how it goes.

I also had to modify the hangers in order to gain a little more vertical space.

Ahh shit I didn't think of that... How much did that take off the hight? Looks soo much simpler than how I did mine haha.. I might have to go readjust mine :d5: I'm sick of moving my plants about trying to get the best possible position for them.

I never bothered to measure the ratchet pulleys and the cables combined but I'm guessing about 8 or 9 inches. I just mounted a cleat to the side of the cabinet and I secure it with that.

I just have mine zip-tied to the cross bars, which the cables hang about 6" down, perfect amount of room for the filter

54" tent, 12" pots,
I have about 3 feet clearance soil to light, and am just letting them grow up towards it, shorter plants are great, of course it would be nice to continue raising with the taller ones,
Seems like they tolerate 12" to 10" away but start getting crispy any closer. Had to invert my fan/filter arrangement the first grow :haha:

Happy growing everyone :goodluck:

I took a piece of angled aluminum and a couple self tapping screws and put two ts600s together then drilled holes for the hangers....i can get my light within two inches of the top of my tent. It should work well for one light as well. The aluminum angle iron was 6$ at lowe's.

That’s a great idea. I have 3 1000 I’m going to do this too.

I have transplanted clones that have been home for about 9 days, I keep the light 20" and they love it. Hell, I even had one kinda lagging behind and it's play catch-up very nicely. I really like this light
