Hi AFN

How do you think the difference is in mars2 400w and cidly lights?
would be grateful if anyone has tested mars2 and them new cidly lights :)

both are 5w led

I have read a lot about mars2 but they seem to be divided as to how good they are.
some say they can break easily and have poor spectrum and others say they are really good.

but I have certainly not found any information about aled805 think they called so from cidly :)

so if anyone has an opinion on the two LEDs so please share :)

have a wonderful day

Mars 2 is the better way to go. But look at the many grows on here or at other forums and they rock pretty well. Price point is fair too, and pay attention to actual wattage drawn at the wall then you can calculate whats appropriate for your grow space.

I think both are in the same league of old led tech. Low intensity and poor spectrums, only good thing may be the price..
For a micro grow maybe, not for a serious one.

very few other forums that has growers that grows autoflower with mars2. :smokeit:

would be interesting to see what people can do with mars2 with autoflower but not found anyone here at the AFN who have 400w mars2 :wall:

What do you recommend?

will buy GN lights but there is some more good in the market that is really good ..

I have checked the spectrum king but they will not fit so well in the tent that is 2m high.

tnx 4 the help :)

Heres one of my Mars II 400 watt grows. Dont ask the weight, I dont have any scales, but I guess the pictures speak for themselves.

Recycled soil was kind of a mess, but in the end it was good.

:size::vibes:

which footprint do you think it has? How big was your grow space?
how do you think it works on the lower buds ? (penetrate the plant to the lower buds)

:digit:

Well, I have a closet thats 2X3 that you see there, so thats my grow space. I've seen people doing more than one plant under a Mars II 400 watt, but I only do one at a time. I think thats probably why my plants get so big because they have the whole light to themselves and dont have to share space. The lower buds do well, they arent as dense as the top buds of course, but I use them and dont throw them out. The penetration with the 5 watt LED's is very good I would say. I would highly recommend Mars-Hydro to anyone, you just cant beat the price on them.

Theres another thread here about those cheap knock offs, and I got suckered into one of those King brand lights, and it said 6 watt LED's but they were only 3 watts when I got it, and hooked it up to my Kill-A-Watt meter, so I sent it back.

there is a lot of money in leds this days.
people are always trying to make money on people

and they tell you, yes this is the best par lum high cree led super mega best light !
but then you get it and is shit or only works for a year...:redcard:

i have some light and they start to break down..and i only have them for 1 year. :crying:
shame on me:naughtystep:

thats why i want to know something before i buy new led light :)

so :thanks:

I see people talking about all that PAR stuff and it doesnt make much sense to me :haha: I'm sure it all means something, but its all so complicated LOL

I'm the type of person, I wanna see what it will grow, I wanna see the results it brings, so I watched a lot of Youtube videos of grows. Mars-Hydro seems to me like it gets the best grows for the price. I only grow for personal use, so spending thousands on lights for just myself didnt make much sense. Also heat output was a big problem since I live in a southern state that stays hot all the time.

And you are :welcome:
