New Grower Mary and Jane

OK here goes my try at my thread about my first ever grow! Mary and Jane!(original huh?) I think I have attached 5 photos. (I was gonna attach more but my comp is slow) I germinated them and planted Mary on 1st Jan and Jane on 3rd Jan in small plastic bottle cut offs. Then transplanted into ceramic pots about 1 gallon in size when about a week old. I now know these pots were not big enough. I rigged up 4 x 32watt CFLs using a metal table and wrapped a reflective camping ground sheet around. Kept them on a 24/0 schedule. Although if it was a sunny day, I would put them in the sun for the afternoon!(sun only comes round at 3.30pm for about 3 hours) Only watered once a week until run-off. They seemed to be doing OK, untill about week 4 the new leaf tips turned yellow. I transplanted Jane into a bigger pot(about 2 gallon) and that stopped the problem. I also gave them some nutes at half strength dose. But I had to leave them for 6 days by themselves while I was doing family stuff, so did not have time to repot Mary! I left them in natural light in widow with a reflective screen behind them for the 6 days, so they were on 11/13 cycle. The last picture shows what they looked like when I got back yesterday. Long and a bit droopy. Is this normal growth? Since I have been back they are again under the 4 CFLs and have perked up. I am going to repot them as soon as I feel better (i have flu and garden center is a 4 mile bike ride away) So apart from bigger pots, any advice? Do you think I can get away with this cheapo grow? Oh yeah, they are WSS Skunk Auto Feminised.

I love the worklight reflector setup! They look nice and green, a little stretchy but still nice girls!

Thanks for the comments! They stretched like this when I left them for 6 days to fend for themselves. They are now back under the 4 x 32watt lights on 24/0. They look much better now, not so droopy. Do you think I need more lights? It is sunny here today so will probably put them in sun for a couple of hours. Think it does them good being in the wind too? Will post more pics later. have to do my housewifley duties first!

They are looking very nice. The stems are nice and sturdy, the leaves a good shade of green and all look good and perky, they also have a nice shape to them. Very well done, keep up the good work. I think you will need a good for all that green goodness!

Thanks wwwillie! I think it is really luck rather then judgement so far! I am just a recreational user, but definitely interested in the medical uses, especially pain relief and will probably be looking to grow something for this next time. I will continue to follow your journal closely, it is great!
It was sunny here this afternoon and put the girls out for a couple of hours. Where I discovered I had accidentally knocked one of 'Janes' branches right off!! You can see in the pic!
Apart from that, they seem happier than a couple of days ago.
Does anyone think it too risky to repot at this stage?

For a first attempt you gotta have a 10/10 - so far so good, but there is a long way to go. Keep the journal up to date
