New Grower Mary and Jane

Day 46 from planting

Girls doing OK. Watered with half strenght nutes on Wed, that is 10 days since the last water. I wait until they are dry, is that OK at this stage? They dont seem to like being watered much and go all droopy for a couple of hours, but then perk right up! I added 2 more 'warm' lights. They look nice and cosy in there!

Thanks crimpz! I checked out your thread, seems we are on the same journey. I am a total novice but having fun. Good Luck with your grow! Be careful with the smell though, I know mine are really stinky!

Ameteur hour question

So far I am having fun with my ridiculous set up. (see picture) I am currently using the clothes airer to house the girls. I do not want to set up anything permanent as we are moving in May. They seem to be growing and happy at the moment. My question is whether to trim fan leaves around main cola as they are blocking a lot of light, any thoughts? Next grow I am definitely gonna try some LST to keep em small and bushy!

I love it!!!

I am from the do not trim group currently, I hang some extra CFL down below the canopy to shine a bit of extra light in there. Just my opinion, still a bit new at it...

Cheers wwwillie, think you are right, gonna go for a couple more lights. Thanks!

Happy Sunday All! Hubby working this arvo so thought it good time for update. Day 54. Just plodding along and seems to all be OK. As you know I am doing a super basic cheap grow. Girls under CFLs, 4 x 32w 6400 & 3 x 28w 2700. On a 24/0 schedule, apart from when sunny and then they get about 4 hours a day of natural sunlight. Planted in potting soil. Using 'KB' (local cheap stuff, not much choice around here) green plant fertiliser for nutes, (6-5-5) switching to flowering nutes tomorrow, 'KB' again. Watering every 7-10 days when feel dry. I do not have a clue about humidity or Ph. Temps between 60 to 70 degrees. They are in the spare room and wrapped in refective material. I know that I am not going to have the biggest or most potent buds, but hopefully enough for me to have fun with! Doing another grow starting in March with better lights and definitely bigger pots. Mary in 1 gallon and Jane in 2 gallon. These pics were taken yesterday. Pics 1&3 are Jane and pics 2&4 are Mary, 2 very different sisters! Both WSS Skunk. Have a great day!
