New Grower Mary and Jane

Hey laazycat!

Looking great!

Growing is a learning process...you are off to a great start...

The love and care you give your plants they give back...for me it is a personal thing between me and the plants...I talk to them about all the good medicine they are making for me and others... We use the whole plant for medicine.

:five:

Thanks Root 66. It is a learning process and I love it. I am really enjoying taking care of my girls and watching them grow!

Day 61

I just want to lick them!

I think I burnt my girl!

Oops, I think I had Mary too close to the lights. I am using CFLs so I had her as close as I could get her. About an inch away. Then all wrapped in reflective material. I think it got a bit hot in there! Was it the lights that caused this (see pics)? It is only on the top leaves. Will she recover if I move her a bit further away from the light? :help: Jane seems OK, just a bit dry on top leaves. Woops

Update Day 77 on my very first grow.

Day 77 Update. I had to leave the girls alone for 8 days. (we had a very important birthday party to attend!) I left them with no lights, just natural daylight, sitting in the window. Almost 12 hrs of light a day. I did not know what to expect when I returned but they did not look too bad. They seem to be fattening up nicely. Mary's leaves have started to go yellow, but I am not sure if that is because she is close to finish or because she is rootbound in her small pot. I have read these Skunks go for 12 weeks, so seeing as she is 11 weeks old I have started flushing her, is this a good idea? The first 4 pics are Mary. Her hairs have turned orange, but I can only see the occasional amber trych. Jane is looking good but seems to have maybe another 2 or 3 weeks to go, maybe longer? Her hairs are turning orange but lots of white ones still sticking up. I am still feeding her. The last 4 pics are of Jane. I have kept them on a 12/12 cycle with a mix of natural daylight/sun and 2700k lights. My first ever grow has been a massive learning curve and lots of fun. And still lots to learn. Wish I had done this years ago!!

Epilogue and advice needed

Mary and Jane are now in jars and dried and cured nicely. I got about an ounce from Jane and about half that from Mary (dry weight). Not good but not bad for my very first try! Now I have a quick question about "Betty". She is an AutoBlueberry. I totally ruined her by trying a bit of LST on only my 3rd grow. She is really stunted but has about 10 nice buds. My question is, whether she is ready or not. She is 74 days from sprouting. I have been flushing her for 2 weeks. She has zero amber trychs. Can anyone give me a bit of advice as to whether she is ready or not from these pics? Help would be much appreciated!
