My own breed
I have two autos growing outside side by side.
One is preggy with a number of seeds for the future, the other I intended to keep for some good night sleep.
Today I noticed mold on miss preggy, did not see any mold on miss sensimilla.

Are there any danger chopping the preggy one, will her seeds be contaminated with mold from the mother?
Can't really remember when I let her have pollen but I guess it is about 2 months ago, do seeds mature just as fast as in an indoor grow or do I need to give more days when growing outside in cold climate?

I don't know when my sensimilla is ready, should I chop her down before she get molded as well or should I wait for her to be done?
Have anyone smoked early harvested cannabis?
Is it a waste or does it give a buzz?
I guess it will only give a head high as long as there are no amber in the trichomes yet, so I maybe better make my sleeping medicine coming winter indoor instead ;)

But who should I cut down, miss sensimilla or the preggy one? Or both?

heheh, i guess most of the growers had a weak moment at some (early) point of their career
when i started and didn't have a microscope to check trichomes, i would just take off a small bud, let it dry for a few days and test it
it obviously depends on how old your plants are, but at the point they are still fattening, they should give you a gud high already
if you fear the mold, you might want to separate them
other then that, pictures would be very helpful, also more information
but since you pollinated her 2months ago, and i guess miss preggy was already in flower then for a good 3 or 4 weeks.. wish i could see her
+ i like your style of writing, keep it going!

Mold will not hurt the seeds most likely, but will interrupt their maturing. If they are already mature, tear down that plant. Only way to know is to pull a few seeds out and judge the colors.

You cannot smoke moldy bud, and mold spreads incredibly fast, If it were mine I would first get rid of all moldy plants, then address the air flow, air extraction, prune the fan leaves from the interior and bottom of plants to increase air flow. It is not mandatory, but I would also spray an organic fungicide on any plants remaining in the grow. I use either NEEM or Serenade, and am careful not to spray buds. For tight spots I paint it on with a paintbrush instead of spraying.

Mold starts at the stem, and moves from node to node. You don't necessarily see it right away either. The white fuzzy bits are the first part you usually see, an that is stage two. Stage three it starts going darker, and that's when spores start to spread.

I had that weak moment about 2 weeks ago, tried a fresh bud but felt nothing, that's why I fear chopping her too early ;)
I will take pictures and post them when I figure out a bullet proof way, don't want to give my identity to the local police :p

Thanks. I will follow your advice and chop down big mama tomorrow.
I guess the seeds still can mature some even after chopping as long as they still are sticked to the mother?

I have a x60 microscope, I will try to look for mold at the stem in the other plant, thanks again for good advice :)

The sensimilla have dark pistils but still no amber trichomes so she need to wait some weeks more, but I chopped down the molded preggy one.
Got 120 A and B grade seeds to keep for later, the rest I threw in a bucket with soil, there are always some of those C graded seeds good enough to sprout.
