Indoor McB's Secret Garden grow : Purple & Green Ogre F2

Hi All
With the local post office strike resolved at last i have my first of many seeds in hand.

Background Info: Pink OGRE is a brand new cross, as you may guess from the name, it is Pink Salad X OGRE, our aim was to create a faster, more colourful version of OGRE, and a larger more resistant version of Pink Salad.

The breeding process involved a very large selection of the Pink Salad F2 seed to find exemplary , larger than usual phenotypes that expressed the colour we love Pink Salad for. Just a handful of plants matched our ideals and these were matched with two large and virile OGRE Males.

From several test grows we have found these F1�s to be slightly Pink Salad leaning, but definitely an improvement in size. We aim to explore the F2�s fully and possibly Back-cross to the OGRE again if necessary.

Excellent resin coverage, and wonderful smells combine with a resistance to stress and the ability to produce compact large flowers.

Heritage: Blueberry, Mazar, Durban Poison, Sk#1

Auto Class: Large dwarf - Averaging 60cm in ideal conditions

Flowering Period: Sex shown from 15 Days, Ripe 65-70 Days from sprout indoor.

Odour: Fruity jam to citrus, incense.

Yield: 30-60+ grams in ideal conditions

Potency: 8/10

I have decided to renew my lease where i am currently staying as moving is just such a mission,with unforseen costs and delays,grow related and otherwise.

I know the area where i am weather and people wise,i know the landlords habits and movements,plus i have a successful guerilla'ish spot that gets awesome sunlight hours.
Not to mention that i love where i live,falling asleep to the sound of the sea sure beats the sound of traffic.

So i have decided to utilise the empty flat and expand my grow into that for the upcoming winter months,hopefully offsetting the extra R2500 rent with a similar saving in pot purchases(yes,i do smoke that much)

On to the grow:
Introducing Purple and Green Ogres,an F2 mix of Pink Ogre X Pink Ogre and Pink Ogre X Pink Ogre green pheno's


I have recieved 10 of each,but have heard tales of highish male ratio's
I will be planting into coco peat/perlite and/or rockwool this evening.(depending on my grow medium decision,thinking 50/50)
I am as yet undecided as to grow method,with my recent russian dragon mystery sickness and death(now hash) im a little hesitant to put all my beans in one res so to speak.
I have 70l of well mixed,well rested organic soil mix,about 4 months old about now.
The Santa auto is loving the combination of it and the guanoflo nutes i have been using.
Will add pics as i have updates,germination to commence this evening.

2 purple and 2 green,one of each in soil and rockwool
first time using rockwool,lets see what happens

i have a new found respect for my set top box,for the second time this morning i oversprayed and spilled water into it,fizzled off and tv went blank.
switched off,dried off and switched back on with no issues...think i have learnt my lesson at last

greetings MrMcbud, just wondering where you purchased your secret garden seeds from? I'm UK based and have only seen them advertised at the London seed centre but i have heard some negative reports on their service. They have some interesting auto strains like the pink ogre and pink salad that i'd like to try. Have you grown any of their seeds before mate?

these are a local cross i picked up,cant say i have dealt with them directly.
i think thry came from seed depot
from what i have seen the ogres are pretty robust.

Thanks mate just checked out seed depot and they're all there, they also do a mix pack for £20 for 16 seeds although I'm sure that's a typo!

Should have 4 for 4 this afternoon.
will decide where they go this weekend.
Thinking one into a 20l plant bag,the other into a 20l dwc res for my cab,awaiting LED,should be here tuesday'ish
Also have a micro grow competition im taking part in from 1st April,might do one of each in hydro and soil in the micro cabs.(30X30X50cm)
(if i can find my drill and build the damn cabs,just need to remove a shelf and drill vent holes with a hole saw

Downgraded lights to 160w mixed cfl,planted 2 ogres into a 20l res(one fell over almost immediately)
1 into my soil mix and 1 into coco peat+perlite.
Also removed the power hungry td800 extractor in favour of a smaller extractor to match the intake.
LED should arrive monday or tuesday...wooooohooooo
