Capture them photons!
Glad to see your plugging away, off to a good start.

So glad you are going to give them another go bro they really are fantastic when dialed in.going back to promix with which you know what you are doing i know you will grow monsters next timeI'll start a new journal after I finish this crop. I'm going to give my final attempt with the AutoPots using ProMix. I can get my Advanced Nutrients to stay stable 6.5-6.6 with my tap water, so it looks like I'm sticking with soil for now. I'm going to "attempt" 4x Mephisto AxT and see how large I can get them to be.

I just skimmed over this thread it looks like u are not pre rinsing n pre soaking the coco. n to be honest i just recently started coco im using eco earth bricks.. which isnt ideal.. (but had it laying around after a mushroom run) i wanted to see if i could pass w/ it. .and after first rinse 6.5-8ph. so maybe better grade isnt ur problem..
pre soaking the material before placing seed n it and warming coco (or w/e material) under light for 24hr prior to seed.. wil def. give extra vigor n the seedling day 1-7.. due to nice warm soil thru n thru.. which promotes many many things ex: micro lvl exo endo builders sea weed kelp w/e u use for soaking. which will n return give ur new seedling amazing root production.
Another note i donot feed again until day 7 jsut to give the taproot enough time to sink down to bottom of pot n she will. This will w/ out a doubt secure me a good root mass. then feed every 3-5 depending on ur environment set up. more fans mean faster drying substrate. once i see that she is express signs of vigor u can turn on autopots. I turned mine on day 14 for this current grow.
: >
i just recently switched to coco and im fukin blown away by how amazing this stuff is w/ really little care it seems...
but u must kno the intelligence behind the design or u will be just left w/ someone elses work : D

I can't say that I've ran a full advanced line but the smell of those A+B coco nutes when I ran them one grow smells like chemicals real strong which puts me off.But then again iguana juice smells like 50 kinds of poop in one bottle so =p...I did pre-rinse my coco, there's just a lot that I skip over in my journal. My "pH perfect" nutrients will not stay stable with my tap water varying from 8.0-8.3. You can adjust Advanced Nutrients down all you want, but they will go back to their considered "sweet spot".

I wonder what's in your tap water, do you live in a fluoridated community? I think my next upgrade would be an RO filter, I've been just bubbling a 25 gallon rez for 24 hours but I have to fill it up then wait, bottleneckin
Yea honestly I don't check or adjust ph, haven't had any serious lockouts but it could be more due to the bio availability of the Aptus. You can Google your town and and water fluoridation to find out though.I honestly haven't researched the water where I live, but I was speaking with the owner of the hydro store and he said they recently swapped chemicals that you can't bubble out. I don't know? Reverse osmosis might be the best bet. As for now, I'm just sticking with soil until I really master my techniques. I do agree with you about the Advanced smell, but no one has complained about my smoke. So, idk.. I've recently cut back half of the nutrients that I use. I only use AN base nutrients, H&G (organic) roots excelurator, and AN bloom & resin booster.
