Mephisto Genetics Mephisto Double Grape and Beary White.

Day 64.
Double Grapes photos are first. She's so frosty. Every time I open the tent I chuckle a little, it's great. Beary White is going to yield well. Her main cola is a beast. Still plenty of time for them to pack it on. No issues. As always, Happy Growing AFN. :thumbsup:

I know I don't really have to ask cause I think I know the answer, but are you ruinnin your lights 24/0?

Nope, 20/4. Did you guess right? :thumbsup:

One other quick question, in the pics above most of them look kind of droopy. Did you just turn the lights on when these pictures were taken? Th reason I ask is because it looks like in most of the pics the leaves are droopy. That means they are either too full of water in the leaves, or the plant is having a hard time transpiring and causing the leaves to droop. Or if these pics were taken right after the lights go on that explains it(because plants are droopy when there is no light on them,) If it is not either one of those things then it has to be the constant water over the roots(no break in the drip ring) I would try giving them 24/0 and like I said you should totally get a 4 dollar timer in order to give that drip ring a break. You are doing a bang up job my friend and I know its hard to change things up when everything seems to be looking OK(like no major deficiencies) but trust me after growing in Hydro, almost exclusively for over 10 years you will see a much better end product if you tweak just a couple of things.

1. Get a timer and set it to engage the switch on 15 minutes out of every hour
2.Run your lights 24/0 so you don't lose almost 2 weeks of growth time

If neither of those things do the trick we can revisit. Now I want to make sure you know I am not bashing on your or trolling you in any way, I am not trying to sound superior or that I know more than anyone else. Its just when I see someones grow and see things that can be very easily fixed that will result in a significant yield increase(mainly the 24/0 lighting schedule) for not much dough or effort.

Ok I am done rambling lol, great work and fantastic setup my dude!

@mephisto @derek420colorado @gbd @ anyone else who has experience...

I'm very interested in the 20/4 vs 24h lighting debate... I also run autos 20/4 and haven't ever tried 24h, but am intrigued. I know that an argument for 24h is better yield because plants don't need to 'sleep' so there is that debate, but my question for you guys is this:
  • when running 24h do plants still get the same fade/colors? You aren't getting any help from temperature drops at lights out, so I am curious... thanks in advance!

Interesting thoughts there. I guess I had never thought about that. I guess that might be one drawback is the ability to drop the temps for fall colors. I think you know my standpoint lol. Maybe @F.N. or @Eyes on Fire either one or both run 24/0 if I remember correctly. Also maybe someone like @Waira could Also chime in.

It’s awesome that here st AFN we can discuss things without having to result to a glorified pissing contest lol
