Hey guys,

Last weekend, myself an Tim had our first joint time away from the farm together in over 2 years, ideal mini holiday to the south of spain.
But we do what we do and ended up building a grow room!

Nice view of the sea from our buddies place:

And the opposite direction there's some slopes:

The boys built a nice little vegging table, and got some sour crack seeds underway under some cfls

Then we set about building a room within a room, it's a garage conversion, approx 5m x 5m, with a lofted ceiling, so we thought the best idea would be to knock up a smaller room 3x3 to house 9 600w hps lights, they will run the auto's perpetually whilst they get some mothers vegging/cloned, and will then switch over to photos.

We got them stocked with soil and wrote a good grow plan out for them anyway!

It was really nice to go back to being indoor in an already very nice room, we've had to build things more from scratch at the farm and it takes so much longer.

The ballasts (new) but magnetic type are so heavy they were directly mounted to the walls with rawl plugs, incidentally, we used our laser themometer on some ballasts we had at home, the digitals run around 95 degrees, and the mag type 115-120 degrees, so we wanted to mount them as far outside the grow space as we could.

Some extra circuits, with a meter were added in too so everything runs safely.

Black and white material will be added to the outside of the structure with velcro sections to essentially make it into a home-made large tent.
The top will be left open to help vent and be exhausted, whilst there's an ac to bring in cool air.

I'll hopefully have some more photos to add soon.

Also there's quite a lot of scope with their place, an existing large workshop is available ;)

Wish I could Grow Like that

I see when i move to Spain nex year i know who to ring when i build my Rooms :P Nice work Fam.

Hi Mitch, Congrats on some time off even if you spent it working. Where were you in southern Spain? I spent a couple of months in Alicante years ago. If I ever move to Europe I'd move to southern Spain. What do you do when you write a Grow Plan? Cheers

cheers guys!
We were near to malaga, very stable climate, in winter it's perfect for indoors, summer... could be a different story but we'll play it by ear.

I just wrote out for them approximate dates of when to take cuttings, when to start each batch of seeds for an easy perpetual, they've grown in the past, but just wanted to formulate more of a plan for them.

We've learnt from experience, if it's just two people, a perpetual is way more manageable.

This is why I am a supporter and a fan of Mephistos Farm! The transperacy of it all! So many breeders out there and so much to choose from but rarely if ever does anyone truly know what went into the strains and all the work involved...
I know Mitch you been at this at longer than you've been a member here at AFN but from the get go you laid out a plan, set it in motion, and allowed all of us here on the journey! And are now getting the pleasure of growing all YOUR HARDWORK! :slap: brother!
I myself am close to finishing up my last three plants of the year (mephistos)! And couldn't be happier with the way they are looking! If they smoke half as good as they look than I am in for treat!
Things are looking great, thanks for sharing!
Cheers!

Its very refreshing to have an established breeder share so much with us! A far cry from the arrogance and secrecy you find so prevalent. When my test grows are done, I got my eye on a couple Mephisto strains I want to grow!

thank you Mitch and company! :slap:

I've got Steel City Blues lined up after my current grow. Next year I am going to grow 24 Carat. Thanks for the transparency and the great product Mitch & Tim! Peace

You're welcome guys, sharing is caring afterall :)

Plus it's an interesting project, interesting place, we're interested so assume our fellow tokers would be also.

Cheers!
