Hey guys,
Last weekend, myself an Tim had our first joint time away from the farm together in over 2 years, ideal mini holiday to the south of spain.
But we do what we do and ended up building a grow room!
Nice view of the sea from our buddies place:
And the opposite direction there's some slopes:
The boys built a nice little vegging table, and got some sour crack seeds underway under some cfls
Then we set about building a room within a room, it's a garage conversion, approx 5m x 5m, with a lofted ceiling, so we thought the best idea would be to knock up a smaller room 3x3 to house 9 600w hps lights, they will run the auto's perpetually whilst they get some mothers vegging/cloned, and will then switch over to photos.
We got them stocked with soil and wrote a good grow plan out for them anyway!
It was really nice to go back to being indoor in an already very nice room, we've had to build things more from scratch at the farm and it takes so much longer.
The ballasts (new) but magnetic type are so heavy they were directly mounted to the walls with rawl plugs, incidentally, we used our laser themometer on some ballasts we had at home, the digitals run around 95 degrees, and the mag type 115-120 degrees, so we wanted to mount them as far outside the grow space as we could.
Some extra circuits, with a meter were added in too so everything runs safely.
Black and white material will be added to the outside of the structure with velcro sections to essentially make it into a home-made large tent.
The top will be left open to help vent and be exhausted, whilst there's an ac to bring in cool air.
I'll hopefully have some more photos to add soon.
Also there's quite a lot of scope with their place, an existing large workshop is available
Cheers!
