Lighting mh to hps

Newbee here wanting to know if I got to change my mh to hps on my autos, but have two photo plants in veg in same room. Will the hps affect the regular plants?

The hps on your photos will make them stretch a bit more than if they were under your mh bulb. Other than that it should be good I found I can veg photo's with not that much stretch under hps if I try to keep it as close as possible without burning the plants, just do the hand under the bulb test to see how close you can get them.
