Got a 10 pack of regular MI5 from short stuff and am planning to get hopefully 2-3 thousand seeds after having selected 2 of the best females and 2 vigourous males.
Normally i use MH and then HPS and usually 100 watts per plant for a grow
however, this is my first seed run so was wondering if a 250 MH/(and later a 250 watt HPS for the later flowering stage) would suffice for my planned seed champions with the final 4 MI5s? Or could a 250 even be ok for a bigger plant seed run?
Been told that one just needs just half the usual light power for seed runs and even weakish cfls will do?
Of course huge buds will produce a huge quantity of seeds, but i don't want to spend a fortune on power with 600 hps/mh to get say 20-30 thousand seeds when just 2-3 thousand would be great for me.
Also seeking a thread somewhere on afn that goes thru the whole stage of a seed run and by chance its the mi5 that is the subject of the seed run, and as i'm planning an mi5 seed run the link would help me tremendously.
Heard that its with bedroomgrowers bible or something like that but just can't dig it out with google searches.If any knows that link please tell me
Also was very surprised to hear that when grown outdoors MI5 can take up to 16 and even 18 weeks!?
Indoors 10-11 weeks, outdoors 16+ weeks?
And one last question please, is it worthwhile LSTing for a seed run?
Lots of questions, sorry, but i see a lot of love for autos here on Mi5 and from that love i'm sure i'm gonna get some answers to my questions.
