New Grower Mississ's CC Dragon Grow

I use a paper bag for a day or two before jarring. Longer cure does = better smoke, but also opens the door for molds. My self being at work most of the day I can't burp the jars frequently enough to ensure that there would be no mold. It takes around 10-14 days for me to get a good cure on my buds. They come out great to smoke and burn evenly in a joint, and retain that mouth watering aroma. No dry or crumbly buds even after months of being locked down in jars to be savor'ed at a later date. That is why I use the brown bag after hanging, before jar. But I can't speak for anyone must my self! Happy curing yall!

Thanks Nam! I'm doing it the same way. Couple days hanging, couple days in bag, then the jar. Just did it the first time with my last batch, really liked how it worked. :smoke:

Out of all the mold on a past grow the only bud that didn't mold on me was certain pieces I Put in the Paper bag ...
I had alot of bud go sour 2 grows ago during the Winter too mm.was really bummed ...
But what did stay was aim da BPB !!!
I DO think I caught a lil taste of it tho ..
I dunno I was stoned but I thought I picked up a slight flavor !!!

:check: Quick question Mississ and Nam', about drying in PB's: what kind of ambient humidity were the buds in during this process? I'm curious to try it, but am naturally leery of inviting mold,... I thought the PB method was best for dry and warm conditions, because the bag provides a higher relative H buffer between inside and the (too) dry outside air,....

Hey Waira, I keep the bag on top of the grow tent and the room is at 59% humidity and temp around 80.

:smoke: Thankee, ma'am... maybe I should try it some of my incoming goodies..... normally I use one of those tiered hanging mesh racks, since ambient home H & T are usually right in the generally recommended zone, with a very gentle airflow... This is main worry I had about bags- no airflow... So, I'm game! Hang for a few, bag for a few,... roger that! Thanks Mississ :toke: oh, what kinda PB did you use? thin wall, thicker wall, grocery size, 6-pack size? LOL! :buds:

*** Thanks Nam'! this will help me dial in for my conditions...:smokeit:

In here in co. Very dry, most the year. I use grocery store paper bags. Treat them like a jar, open them once a day, pour the bud out let them "relax" for a couple minutes them bag them up again. Closing the bag. Monitor them closely so they don't dry out too much, that's it! Good luck

Grocery size bag, the store bag even has a tree on it with the saying "be green" on it. Seems fitting to dry pot in. :gthumb:

I have done the same (also CO) with the paper bag, but I tend to only use the bags for a few days then into the jars. Out here on western slope my RH is generally between 12-21% a little higher certain times of the year. This dries out my meds way too fast so that's why I started with the paper bag. These days I cut stems at base and hang the whole sucker to dry in my closet. (walk-in style, ~264cf give or take a few) I keep a small desk oscillating (holy shit spell check didn't frag me on that!!) to circulate air and as long as I have about 4 oz wet hanging the RH in the closet hangs around 30-35%, 4 days hanging, then jarred. I guess I found that I like hanging method better because I think it's more delicate. To each their own though, take tid bits from things you learn from other folks, and tweak their methods until you find your sweet spot!

Also, if you can get your hands on some boveda humidity control packs you might be able to alleviate mold in certain instances. I have had great results with them for about a year now. I use the 62% ones. uploadfromtaptalk1372305643065.jpguploadfromtaptalk1372305643065.jpg

Edit: yes, yes, I have two left hands...:joint:
