Thinking of getting the keif/pollin press what size pucks does it make. Looking to work with 3-4 grams at a time.

100% dropping one of those next time I start new beans.... only growing a couple at a time and only being 4 weeks in on current grow it’s gonna be a while

Yeah I think my AvT has the longest time left and she’s probably got another 3-4 weeks. So when she comes down I’ll start three more. So damn many beans and more on the way I can’t ever really decide till I drop them in soil. Gold glue and Bluetoof special might be up tonight. I see movement and I put them a little deeper then normal.

I think there are a few sizes
I've done about 2- 2 1/2 grams at 1 time. Sure could have squeezed 3. Of late pretty much pressing buds.
The pucks are little bigger than 1 of the old
U.S Silver dollar coins. I have some buds and kief I can press then measure for all when i get back home.
My kief has been too dry to get rosin, have some killer hash though. My best results have been with good spongy buds with snap

Well I was way off on the size. A puck diameter is about the size of a U.S. nickle
I put about 3 1/2 grams in the chamber.

Got the 3x5 plates and a 12 ton press.

Based on all of my testing with different prepresses You will want to run a 2x4 (puck size 1.5x3.5) press that will hold ~4g to ~5g. With those plates and pressure. Here is what you would order to make your own.

Remember when you squish the puck it grows in diameter considerably and you do not want it squishing out past the edges of the plates.

Here is the closest thing I can find premade ($70. on Amazon) the problem is that with only 1" tall it will be hard to get 4 or 5 grams in it. Maybe make two pucks and stack them to press?
