I had to chop my last grow alittle early then I went out of town. I put all the buds in a brown bag in a carboard box but I was not there to check on it for a week. Of course it was covered in mold when I got home. I put it in a big zip lock bag and it has been in a cabinet for the last week or so. It seems like the white mold is gone but it still smells like shit. Is there anything that I can do for it or should I just trash it. It is probably about 1.5 zips.

If there is any part of the buds that are not covered with mold save them but any moldy buds should be tossed.

Yeah. It's definitly not good a good idea to smoke mold. I'd say toss it however much of a shame that is....
IMHO if there where any unmolded spots on the buds you should have taken those before putting it in ziplocks. Me, I would consider it all molded now.

I agree. I appreciate the help. I did not plan my grow time out well compared to my travel plans and then I had a potential security issue, blah, blah, blah. It was just a mess.

Really sucks man. Hope you had a great trip at least?
Hopefully you'll have another nice harvest soon to forget about this one.

Water cured with h2o2 maybe able to help. One of my Swiss Cheese grows did the same thing. I watered cured it and it was okay. Now I don't recommend it, but I did vape the watered cured Swiss Cheese. I'm no worse for wear. It's a difficult call, but at least try the water cure before you toss it.

In the berry fruit business, strawberries, blueberries etc they generally go through a h2o2 wash before going to market. This will kill any mold that maybe on the fruit. It's not a weeks water cure like you'd do with your buds, but it is a common practice is the fruit business.

Good luck.
