It went well for a good part of the grow, I just let the water get too hot before a change.

Hi thanks for your responses. I know loads of us cover our medium/pots/system with all manner of materials to reflect light, its just a shame system manufacturers cant address this so we dont have to. Interesting about the dye situation and new knowledge for me so it makes sense why they are black but it still makes no sense that every system builder out there is almost certainly aware of this widespread dilema yet leave us all to remedy it with DIY or a £400+ chiller.

My guess is that at some point, some switched on system builder will solve this problem out the box and others will follow suit.
