New Grower Mostly lighting concerns

My set up is a 2x2 tent thats only 4' high, AND i have a filter at the top.
I am using a 250hps bulb.

What would be the difference if i went to a 4 or 600w?

I keep the light about 4-5" from the top of plants.

I am growing 8 plants in that space now, is there a benifit to growing less and giving plants more room?

Things seem to be going fine with the exception of one not flowering (45days old)

All imput is welcome.

My initial concern would be heat with a bigger HPS in that space. That's a lot of plants for that space too. More room can create better light distribution to the plants.
