At the end of her dark period last night the "monster" came upstairs for a quick photo op and haircut (not necessarily in that order) before going into the chamber I've made in our bedroom closet out of plastic sheeting with sheets and blankets over the top to block out the light from the cracks around the door and there for the next 72 hours she will stay, at which point, she'll come out to be chopped

My shitty camera can really not convey how delicious these nugs look, but I'll make sure someone with a good camera comes over when we're ready to give her the chop, in the meantime....

Before we put her in the closet, I decided to pick the uppermost cola (the middle one in that last pic) and trim it last night, the leaves sticking out of it had almost all gone necrotic, and i felt it an eyesore, it turned out to also have a little necrotic bud matter in the center which I had to trim away, but I lost less than a gram due to it, and got an unexpected bonus, the small bit of bud on the outside of the cola which had been cut off from water due to the necrosis on the interior had dried on the bush, and I had just under a gram of already dry material, so, Smoke report!

Even with only a dry under the harsh thousand watt lights and no cure, this bud both vaped and surprisingly, even smoked pretty darn well. Flavor: berries, with an intense, nearly mouth-puckering pungency to go along with it. Stone is immediate, and equally distributed between the body and head but would definitely be more of a couch lock if harvested more amber (I harvested with low amber, I like an up high and NL is mostly indica) I vaped a couple hits through my bong with my heat gun, and then rolled a joint with the rest. The vape hits were pure candy, and even the jay tasted pretty darn good for no cure, excited to see what a slow dry and a couple weeks in a jar will bring.

Just ordered a cloner, I have been getting clones for my photo strains from friends, and more recently, been cutting a few and putting them in my buddy's cloner, but needed to have one here @ home, so just went down to the local grow shop, and ordered the Oxyclone 20, a 20 site DWC cloner, might as well get them rooting in the same type of system they eventually will go into. Should have it by Friday, excited to take some clones, the first set will be Kosher Kush

Sorry to hear that, ours is working great, we made some medicated canola oil and made some brownies, I loved 'em and they got great reviews from others as well.

So I believe I had mentioned that we were going with some AK-49 auto from vision seeds for our next crop, but i didn't really go into particulars as to that seed orders "ongoing developments" but, as it happened, all did not go exactly as planned on this occasion. Here is the seed order I placed

I waited 2 weeks (all my recent orders from the Attitude had reached me in a week or so) and got back ahold of them, and it turned out that the Skunk XXX from T H Seeds had, unbeknownst to them, not been in stock. They had sent me an email 4 days after my order was placed but it was sent not from their primary email, which I had marked safe, but from an employees email and had promptly gone into the junk box. So I had to select another pack of the same value, as I didn't have the funds to pay extra at the moment. I decided on Sensi Seeds, since they're such an icon, and I didn't have any of their genetics as of yet, and I was able to pick up a 10 pack of Sensi Skunk regulars for the same price as the T H Seeds Skunk XXX 10 pack of regulars. The really cool part is, I still am getting the 10 pack of T H Seeds PG-13 that I was getting on a promotion for buying the Skunk XXX. So just a minor hiccup, really, and planting the next auto crop is mere days away!

The only way to make canola oil good.....is to add herb.

So just ordered 2 Grownorthern Ms0006 lights for our flowering room, we eventually will get 7 of them and run the autoflower room with three and have the other four illuminating the photoperiod flowering room we should receive them within 10-15 business days, excited to showcase them on the thread!

Hey guys, lots of awesome news lately, our seeds are on the way from the Attitude finally. Gonna get my AK-49 auto on baby! Stoked for our 2 new GrowNorthern MS0006 grow lights on the way, also from the UK, by the by. At first, I thought that one MS0006 could do roughly the same job as a 600w HID, did a little more research, and found people are saying it would take 2 of them to do it. But then, looking at the GN wall of fame, I see many plants grown with one MS0006 unit, even some with 2 sizable plants under just one of these lights that seem to equal the quality and yield I would expect in fairly ideal situations under a 600w HPS. And then TaNg is saying that with the upcoming Rebel upgrades 1 unit can essentially do the work of 2 of them (if anyone would know, he would, he is testing them out, after all) So rather than have much of a preconception about this equipment (beyond the fact that it is clearly capable of excellent results) I will wait to form my own opinions on it's capabilities. We should have the new high-tech toys to play with in two weeks or so, lots of work to occupy me in the meantime, things are really starting to get into full swing downstairs, and the timing couldn't be better. In the flowering room, we have our first photoperiod hydro crop, 2 Rainbow Jones, with 3 or so weeks to go, but already smelling like a candy shop, and looking as though they've been dipped in confectioners sugar. Next to them we have 2 Reserva Privada Kandy Kush at about 21 days of flower and starting to connect the dots. On top of that, 2 Boss Hogg go into the flower room tomorrow and also tomorrow at the end of the light cycle in the auto room, our 3rd NL auto will go into the dark closet for around 72 hours before being harvested Thursday evening (and be harvesting another NL auto plant for the next 2 Thursdays after that as well) plus our cloner should arrive tomorrow, and we need to get some propagation going. I finally am done helping my local friends with processing their outdoor crops. The work was heaven sent, but things are starting to really pick up at home, and Mrs. AutoOtto is up for a promotion at her job (she works on the phone from home, customer service for big corporation) so we should be in a fairly comfortable spot, and I can simply stay at home and tend to our medi-garden. This is a whole lot of work if you give a shit, I will tell you, but every bit of it is worth all the hard work in the end, and I am looking forward to a long journey of knowledge and discovery of the genome and properties of this most lovely of plant species we know as cannabis. I appreciate all of you who choose to join me on that journey

Thought I'd do a quick little post and update the nugporn on this journal. This plant chops a week from today:

2 weeks after that one harvests, this one will be ready to chop, this is the real beast, at least a half pound on this one minimum:

But the final weight is in, and so are some pics of the finished nugs, feast your eyes!

Final dry weight: I came up with 187 grams, but I jar my bud before it's totally dry and let it do a lot of breathing in the jar. So I'm just gonna say 175 grams on this one, even though I know it probably won't lose even half of 12 grams. My guess on this one was 5-6 oz's so just above my top projection, couldn't be happier with those results. Had a few grams more or less ready to puff already because of that top that I pulled off before its final dark period and the smoke has a nice, berry candy flavor to it, with a strong pungent, even sour, flavor on the exhale, along with a strong and immediate head high. 7.5 out of 10 on the chronic scale.
