hey afn iam just about to start my first dragon run, im a little stumped though, the most i can have in my room comfortably have is 2 plants, they will be regular F2 stone dragons. so my questions are how many beans should i germ to get my 2 fems that i want?? my other question was what pots should i use ( remember i can only fit 2 in ) i have 2 6L airpots and i have 2 11L square pots??? i was thinking i would be better using the larger 11L pots as i will need to plant multiple beans in each pot to make sure i get two fems. any input/help would be greatly appreciated :tiphat:

Hey there Larky
Since there is a 50/50 chance you may get a female or male. You should plant 4. You maybe lucky and get all 4 females. You may be unlucky and get 0 females or 1 or 2 etc... There is no definate answer as how many seeds you should germinate
As for which pots you use, its recommend that you plant them in their final pots. Transplanting does cause stress. Some members use the tier method. This requires 3 cups or 2 cups
1 cup you cut out the bottom , second cup with small holes to let the water drain out and third cup to hold it all in (3rd cup is optional)

If the plant is a female you take the 1st cup and plant it directly into the final pot thus allowing minimal stress

Good luck

Plant more than you need and remove the less desireables. Ending up with 2 nice fems in your case.
By the end of week 4 it should be obvious for which two to keep.
