Mushroom in Soil!!!!!

Help please. Eoke up this morning too my Moby Dick having a mushroom growing out the soil at day 78. What do I do? Do I need too chop her ASAP?

experienced this before myself, outdoors around/close to the stalk on the ground usually on the north side of the stalk base. did not notice anything effecting the plant growing or after cure and smoke. I associated it with the mushroom compost(store bought bags) I had used. inspection of my root ball after chopping and I did not notice anything unusual under ground. hope this helps

The mushroom might actually be helping bring water to the roots in a symbiotic relationship. Mycelium growing in the ground brings water to the roots of trees and plants. There are some saprophytic mycelium as well that would hurt but I don't think that's what you have. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Mushrooms are a fungus. Mycorrhizae is a fungus put in soil for plant benefit.

I have been growing Shiitake and Oyster mushrooms in logs outdoors for 13 years now. I love seeing the word mushroom on this site. I am glad I was able to share this beneficial relationship with you.

Glas'-- Most likely, it'll cause no harm directly, even if it isn't one of the specific beneficial types of fungi,...but the fact that it's constantly wet enough even in a air-type pot hints at a bit over overwatering,... at this stage they like a little stronger wet-to-dry cycling.... how's the air circ' in there? A little breeze across the pots helps draw some moisture off,...

Waira it's just the one shroom(fungi) that is appearing. You could be right with the overwatering as I've not changed from the way I was determining when it was required. Wasn't aware they preferred drier at this stage but thanks for bringing it too my attention

Air circulation isn't perfect as it's my first grow and this is paying for a 2m tent so I can introduce proper air flow into my grows. For now I have 3x 6" fans with 1 that flows through the lower part of the plant between the soil and lowest buds. I added a co2 producer too try and help them since I don't have an intake and outtake fan

I was considering trying too grow magic mushrooms. Are they easy too grow and how long do they take too produce? That's if you have any knowledge on them
