Ok, here is my first attempt at CFL/T5 Cream Caramel grow (actually first ever grow). Guys ad Gals be nice.

Ive searched round and read lot, to build a stealth cab, or a tent, T5 or CFL,HID or HPS. Finally I've decided to run a 2x4 tent with cfls on the sides with a t5 above (will be here Tuesday).

Please be patient and let me know if im screwing up or doing ok. Here is what I have so far.

Day 1, Placed seeds into a damp paper towel and placed near the tv for a tad bit of heat.

Day 3, seeds sprouted and were placed into rock wool blocks.

Day 6, Transplanted rock wool into sub straight ( Coco Coir/rice) An, added 2 clamp lights.

Day 9, So far so good. Watered with a small amount of coco A and Coco B.

Hey sweet nuggs, how's it going. I don't want to spoil the party, but you've got problems already my friend.
Don't feed them anything for the first 2 to 3 weeks. Just a heads up to, auto's don't like to be transplanted. I always start my seed in water til it sinks, then straight into the home pot. I really hate seeing a new grower start seed the old school way. Like you did. If you mess the tap root up at all, she'll be stunted.

But I can say this. For your first germination, you did great!!!! That's where a lot of people have trouble. Hang in there and now that she's not going to move, she may snap right out of it. But your looking for nice healthy green vibrant leaves. I know you already know that, but...:204:

sweet nuggs,

I hope you didn't take my post to be a jab or anything. Cause that's not the case. All I'm trying to do is help you to become a better grower. We all can be, even myself. I learn things from new growers every day...

Hey no worries! I'm here to learn and enjoy like the rest of us. No offence taken at all. As far as transplanting, do you mean from rooted seed into rock wool? Yeah, I was wondering about that. Now, on to watering. Since I've already treated her with delicious water should I continue since im just about two weeks into. Or, should I just give straight water for a week or two?

I have to change my lighting up today and install a fan. They are getting there T5 2ft 4 bulb put in today. With veg lighting, I'm leaving the clamp lamps with cfls though. Then if they make it to flower ill change out all lights to flowering bulbs and add more cfls.

Where's the Dummy icon, I swear I just pulled the ultimate DOH. Installed my Sun Blaze 24 with veg lighting and realized all my cfls I had up till now were 2700k. Damn. But on a brighter side my little girls love the new T5's.

Glad to hear you say that. Sometimes I say things that members take the wrong way. So thank you for letting me give you some constructive criticism.

Yeah, it's better to soak them in water till they sink and plant them straight into your home pot. Of course the soil in the pot needs to be pre-watered. And always put the seed in point end down. This helps it sprout the right way.

Every other watering, feed. But at this point, feed 1/4 strength. You'll start to notice sex when it's about 18 to 22 days old. Continue the veg nutes for another week then switch to flowering. Bump up your nute strength to 1/2 and continue to bump it up until you've reached there threshold. You'll know this by the leave tips. Watch for them to turn brown. That's your sign that they've reached their max food uptake. Then back it off just a bit....

Sounds good, but don't change the lighting to flowering. These auto's love the 20/4 light start to finish and they also love the vegging spectrum, start to finish. Really, you only need to change light spectrums and timing on photo's. Auto's are a completely different ball game with great results if done properly.
