This is currently week 9 from seedling. But I’ve an issue now....

I head to Europe for 1 month tomorrow on holidays. Which means my first beauty will be moving into harvest while I'm away.
I’ve automated watering and environment control setup but I'd say in 2 weeks time she might be ready. So now I’ve to ask a friend to come in and cut her in a few weeks and hope for the best when I get back.

I didn't expect it to run this long and had planned her to be finishing around now, but first major lesson learned, theres no timing or rule to follow and just let them do their thing.

Just let it grow til yo come back, why guess at it early? If you say 2 weeks it will probably be 3-4 weeks. I'd just wait til I came back to cut.

I second this too. Those pics seem to show it has more than 2 weeks left...

I think you are all correct. I guess she is just slow but by time I get back she should be ready.

Is it better to cut late than early?

One of my favorite sources for determining when to harvest. The photos really help, enjoy!

Though a good article, it is an older report. Man auto flower trichomes do not amber, so you may wait too long and end up with pure couchlock, even though no amber. My longest was 105 days. I would never go that long again on an auto flower. I use the recommendation they supply (8 to 10 weeks) and always allow about an extra week or two. But I will harvest when I see the pistols starting to hug the nug if I don't see any amber on the flower parts turning amber.

exuze me, but that is totally untrue :nono: auto trichz most def do amber up....i've only ever had a couple that never did, but it'z def not a common thing & scopin for amber has alwayz been my own, and many otherz' method for judging the harvest window....jus sayin ;) ppp

Some do and some don't. I have had both. I speak with many geneticists as well and they confirm it for Auto Flowers. In my original it should have stated some autoflower cultivars, I didn't state all.

Thats so not true, autos definitely amber. Unless the strain has brought out more of the ruderalis genetics. The trichs should still amber. Would have to be like when people started experimenting with autos. Old school auto strains
