New Grower my 1st led grow

After seeing the new pics, I have to ask... what is your lighting set-up and how close have the lights been to the plant?

i have a diy led rig with 120+wts of spots, 2 and 3wt chips,blues/reds/whites.
i always keep it at least a foot from the top. it generates very little heat as every spot has its own heatsink. it has a matchin red on the left now as well.

sorry guys. it jumped on to another page and i didnt see your posts.
it started 2 days ago and i spent plenty of hours researchin what had happened. this is the 3rd day of the problem. gradualy gettin worse and worse. im not the sort that expects everybody to do my work for me. when the leaves started to curl(24hrs after feeding) from the edges the symptoms were pointing toward nute burn,so i flushed them with what water i had made up at the time. things got worse. then after more reading it looked like over watering. had i just made it worse? so i did what the general consenus is and poked some holes in the soil and stuck the fan on to dry things out a bit. things got worse. then the leaves started curling from edges and tips, up and down. all symptoms of different problems. this is when i came to you guys for help. av flushed them more today and it doesnt seem to be getting any worse.
im always happy with any advice i get on here guys, always.

you should get a prize for the sickest plant ever, never seen anything like that.... wow! might have to call it a day and start over ..this time feed them plant food not fish food!..just kidding lol..but don't give up maybe the next one will grow better

lol, thanks for that dude. yeah av pretty much resigned maself to fact that ive only gone n killed them. av still got ma afghan kush ryder on the go. its at a earlier stage so didnt get them same feed as the other 2. av got a list of things that i'll do differently next time, number 1: not being a fanny, number2: not being a fanny......and so on.

so...... what do i do with them? is there a smoke in them?

plants respond slowly... you may fix a problem and the fix response wont show for 2 - 7 days....

it definetly looked like it needed a flush... just make sure your ph is on point... :checkph: and then let them dry out for a bit...

it should start coming back around.

thanks dude. ma mans just been n dropped of sympathy bag of sweet berry, the gent, n we were discussin just that.
i use ionic. i mix ma water up in 2l milk jugs. a work out how much for a litre then x by 2, however.....ma maths went a bit wrong and a think a forgot that i had already x by 2, and i forgot that i only needed 10 percent mix.......so quite a lot unfortunately.......there are NO smilies available at this juncture which adequately represent the depth of my depression.....so heres a sad face :(

This is way more in line with what I thought had actually happened. The buds still look pretty good to me which is why I didn't abandon all hope. I know nothing about LED's but it does not seem as if that would have caused any damage like that kept a foot away...

Like jm said, plants are like us in the way that, if we get injured or really sick, there is seldom anything medicine can do that will jolt you right back into normalcy... there is a healing process. It sounds to me that you overferted (which also caused a more severe case of pH lockout if you did not buffer the fert mix before feeding) then misdiagnosed after flushing as the plants being over-watered. Over-watering is for more problematic with seedlings and very young plants than it is with more mature ones... The bigger ones will be able to drink enough of the water to prevent that after flushing, assuming your pots are draining correctly. Turning the fan on them in an effort to dry everything is a very likely contributor to your crispy leaves, as well.

I laid all that out, not to bust your hump, but so you may have an idea what was occurring during the process. Just as it takes a while to fix a sick plant, it usually takes a while for a plant to get in really rough shape (if it's not poisoned or damaged). The plants do allow for a degree of patience so, if we keep a close eye on things, we can usually avoid catastrophe if we ask for help early... and, most importantly, don't try a bunch of experiments while waiting. There is a far, far greater chance of something really bad happening because of an experiment than there is because we showed a little patience. :peace:
