Hi guys,
Was wondering if I can get a little assistance, please, the items below is what I have mixed yesterday! (But not watered yet!) from reading reading reading.... the vast amount of knowledge on this forum(thank you all) (Big PROPS! To Eyes on Fire) this is my attempt at organic. I would like to know if what I have will do it? (TLO) And if, possible, how much of the
Amendments to add to the base soil. I followed the packages "recommended" measurements: but, I think I need more Azomite and Kelp meal?
The different weight of the packages of the base soil Through me off, I aimed for 10 Gallons of soil, I think I have more then 10 gallons of soil.

Base Soil:

3gal. Fox Farm Ocean Forest
2gal. Roots Organic
8QTs/2gals. perlite
5lbs. earthworm castings
3Tbsp. Dolomite lime
4 cups Espoma Tomato Tone

In a 4 quart bucket I added: ( got the NPK values online)

1/2 cup Kelp Meal. (1-0-2)
1/2 cup Alfalfa Meal (2.6-0-2.3 avg.)
1/4 cup Oyster Shell Flour
1/2 cup Crab Meal. (5-3-0.5)
1/2 cup Azomite. (0-0-2.5) 5% CA)
1/4 cup Neem Seed Meal
1cup Fish Bone meal. (8-12-2)

mixed and added 4 cups of the blended amendments to the base soil, that is Mixed in a 18 gallon tote.
P.s. I never added water to the mix, but, today the soil was moist and a little condensation on the totes cover! Is that normal?
Currently running a FFOF-VS-ROOTS grow that's the reason for the bagged soil, had some bags left over.
Thank you guys..... much love to AFN!!!!!!

Don't look to bad. There are a couple of items I would load up a little more of and maybe inoculate it with a nice brewed tea and let it cook.
Maybe some Mycos and fulvic acid in that tea.
I am not the organic expert yet as to the ratios you have listed.
Let's place a call to @Eyes on Fire, @Ripper, @pop22 and see if any of these fine AFN'ers would be willing to give you a shout and I will be watching as well as a student of theirs.

with your using individual organics, I'd ditch the tomato tone, your pretty much duplicating its content, and add 1 Tbsp blood meal. Also, too much worm castings for a mix that small, it will make for drainage problems, castings should be no more than 20% of the mix. Reduce the Azomite to 2 tablespoons, its a a micro nutrient and you simply don't need a lot of it.

You want moist ( not wet ) soil for it to support the micro life that will "cook" ( break down the nutrients into forms usable to your plants ). If the mix gets dry, the micro life will die.

Great stuff @pop22 but now I fear we might have scared @bklyndiaz because his soil is mixed but not watered yet. Maybe add a little something to help with drainage. I don't think you can overdose on the Azomite to harm your plants only waste money. Please correct me if I am wrong though.

My local hardware store now carries all these amendment, after I ordered all online, the first thing that hits you on the shelf is BONE and Blood meal, now from all my research bone and blood meal are not organic? (I'm so confused) but, if you think this will help I can surely go and get me some.
Thanks pop22

Please don't overthink this stuff. Where ever you are right now is ok. Everybody starts somewhere. My first attempt at my soil is in the outdoor garden.
Your smart pots are good. They allow the plants roots to breath more efficiently just like the air pots I use. Lets throw some mycos in there and then use water/molasses to feed those microbes. Trust me your OK and you haven't wasted any money.

Thanks,@White Punk on Dope, do you mix your soil everyday? Or only the first few weeks then just leave it?
