OK, so it has been 26 days from planting the seeds. It appears to me that everything is doing fine. If someone sees something wrong please share your insights with me. I used an organic mixture that was intended as a top dress for well established plants. I did not read the bag which clearly stated do not use to grow plants but to furnish nutrients via it's organic mix. So I screwed up right off the bat but what is done is done. The mix met some standards set forth by something called OMRI(I may not have the letters in the correct order). I think all will be fine until I get to the point of flowering and vertical growth stopping. I will watch the plant for signs of nutrient deficiency and react accordingly. So here are pictures of my kids at day 26 from seed and 20 from sprout. Any advise would be most welcome. My lighting will soon improve. I expect to have the funds to place 2 Blackstar 240 Watt fixtures overhead. For now I have 16800 lumens with 6 CFL lamps 3 @ 65K 3 @27K.

Looking good mate:smokebuds:

33 days from planting seed. 27 days from sprout. I assume the last picture is a male plant. Don't laugh I have never had a male plant, this is only my 4th (maybe 5th grow). The other 5 all look the same 2 of them defiantly are showing pistils. I have always grown bag seed photos these are the 1st seeds I have purchased. The male is the largest so he should be able to defrock the largest female. I just have to figure out when to move the happy couple to a secluded closet. Now the bad news ... I will not have the funds to purchase the Blackstar 240's for at least a month maybe longer. I found out who caused the problem ... ME ... when I filled out a form during the course of getting my settlement I neglected to include my apt number. Please excuse me for now as I am going to kick my ass again, 3rd time today!!! Anyone see anything I need to pay attention and remedy??

They look a bit on the light green side but otherwise seem healthy. The last is clearly male. On a seed run I leave the male in the tent until the balls are near ready. I finish it on a window sill. If you are doing a whole plant then bring the female out, shake the male over it and leave for a few hours. Spray the female down with water to deactivate any pollen and replace in tent.

I think the color is due to the soil they are in being light on N. I have started feeding them a little high N fertilizer. "I leave the male in the tent until the balls are near ready" ... and that looks like what ... remember this is the first male I have grown ... in the past I have only seen pictures ...

and that looks like what
The plant continues to grow and produce new balls. The existing ones grow bigger. The outer green casing of the balls will split revealing the white petals inside. In a day or two it will be an open flower dropping pollen. I find the balls nearest the stem often open first. It is best to get it out of the tent and take no chances. Like all these things, once you have watched the process once, you will know how far into it is when you see it again. Since it's the sort of thing words are poor at, I can only suggest videos.

thanks thud ... I will spend some time on you tube ... I am going to get the closet ready ... the poor kitty is going to have to use the hallway for her litter box ... I will be glad when this is done ... it should give me enough seeds for quite a while ...

The first batch seem to be coming along nicely. I had two in the second batch die after sprouting, not sure why. Two other seeds planted at the same time are doing fine and look normal. I can remember reading that the MI5 has 3 different types, one with a central trunk and cola, one that grows to about 20 to 30 in tall and branches, I have 2 of these, and a short bushy plant about 12 to 16 in tall, I have 2 of these. I am making a seed run and have one female heavily seeded unfortunately the male started pollinating before I got it out. I sprayed the plants I did not want to be seeded with water to the point of soaking them about every 2 to 3 hours for the 4 days the male was allowed to pollinate. I am amazed at how effective that turned out to be. My question today is about cutting fan leafs off to open them up for max light. I know autos don't take to stress very well because they don't have much time to recover. So can I lollypop these plants if so when?
