Thanks Muddy, RL has been kicking my butt the past few days and keeping me from doing much online. I will keep things mellow and such until it is time for their first feeding, next weekend maybe?
All of the tips seem to point up some but the light is at 30" above them now and I did not want to raise it too high, should I anyways? I probably have a good 5 days before they may need a big drink, but they will be about 15-16 days from poking above soil. What should I be looking for to know if it is time to start with the foxfarm? Thanks for any input you can offer!
There is one though with an odd shaped yellow spot on one of the leaves. View attachment 142566
Also the soil seems to have a green substance forming on the surface in all the planters. View attachment 142572
They feel like they will need to be watered soon but I am unsure if they will need a feeding of big bloom yet as they are only 15-16 days old? I am not sure if they are big enough to show sex yet. I did try to look but have never done this before so I am not sure if I was looking at female parts or just sections of new growth? I want to hold off on giving them a drink until I can get a yea or nay on the micro nutes, and the green substance that seems to be growing on the surface of the planters! Thanks for any insight you can offer! =)
:smokebuds:Your girls are looking good except that green on the surface. That looks like algae from to much water.Try and remove the green soil and gently mix the top inch or so of soil and let it dry out before you water again. Also make sure you keep air circulating gently over the plants. They are way to young to give flower nutes and just old enough to start a weak mix of veg nutes.Do not start flower nutes until vert growth has stopped and they are producing main flower pistols.
 Oh good a super easy solution to the green stuff! I have 2 desk fans blowing in there, I had been feeling that the airflow was not adequate though so I will order a pedasal occilating fan. I hope that this route will also allow me to move the height up or down with the growth so I do not need to stack things precariously in my tent. With the nutes I was meaning the bottle with the trace nutes in it, or is that for flowering as well?
Namvet, thanks for the input on the soil thing I will be getting another fan and taking care of the green stuff now. I will hold off on some water for just a little while.
On a side note the RH of my tent has gone down to 40 in the day and 50 at lights off for the past 2 days even with a few saucers of water on the floor. I understand it is better to keep it in the 50's during veg and then 40's in flower? Again I am confused if that will have a terrible negative impact on my little green friends.
Your plants are exhausting the starter nutes in the Pro Mix so it's time to feed them some veg nutes. Next feeding give them some 1/4 strength Grow Big. After a couple feedings at 1/4, up it to 1/2. Big Bloom is a bloom booster, and Tiger Bloom is a flowering nute. You should feed Grow Big till vertical growth stops, then Tiger Bloom. I don't remember exactly when recommends starting the Big Bloom, check their feeding schedule on their web site.
Algae growing on top the soil is from over watering, poor air circulation or a combination of the two.
Fourty % humidity is just on the verge of being a little to dry. You can try putting a towl in a large bowl or bucket of water than somehow hang the towl on somthing to spread it out but leave the bottom of the towl in the water.Than you can have a fan blow gently over the towl to increase the humidity. At lights off just turn that fan off until lights on.
Thanks for stopping in muddy I have a new fan on the way to boost the inside air flow. There are no more vents that I could leave open... unless I unzipped some of the tent. hmmm Thanks for clearing up the purposes of the nutes. I really think I will be switching over to the sensi pH perfect set after I use up the . I have read that there are a good number of growers on the site here happy with it. I have city water now, so a RO system would have to come before I change, and I would like to get a half doz air pots first, and a hanna combo meter before that.... so many wants for me right now I am getting the Hanna meter in December unless fate says sooner. Maybe airpots in May for my birthday? Sometime I will get it all thought
My continuing battle with pH. I added water and grow big 1/4 strength, pH in was 7.1 and my runoff was 6.5. 0.6 difference leaving me still at 5.9. I am really bad at this =/ I did add another fan to move that surface air more until my other one gets here so yay for that part!
