New Grower My First Grow - x4 Dedoverde Haze 400w HID

Good looking plants man.... don't forget about sharing her in the photography section or bud porn thread

Took a few more pics of the other girls today while I had them out of the tent (with the flash on)... I was looking around and couldn't find the photography section or bud porn thread.

God, I can't wait to taste, the smell makes my mouth water! Another 3 weeks, maybe closer to 4 before chop. Likely going to start flushing on day 61 and hope they're ready 10-14 days from then.

Haven't done much measuring lately, but those main colas are around 12" long (probably longer), and seem to be fattening up nicely.

They definitely could have used a little more time under the MH and on veg nutes. There's quite a lot of immature growth and bud sites toward the lower middle/bottom. Thinking another 1-2 weeks and they would be quite a bit bigger, but just don't have the space.

You're doing a bang up job Hoss! Sorry I've not been back for a while. I been super busy lately with work. I ran 600w in my 4x4x6.5 tent. I used a 13 gallon multiethnic site hydro unit. Supposed to be able to grow 6 plants I full size but 3 was to many in my opinion. They must be talking about lettuce. Inhabe one girl that was a lot taller and bigger than the others as well. I think it's just a phenotype thing. One thing to watch out for is bud rot. I had geat ventilation and a small fan in my tent but still got some at the top of one cola. So make sure the air is moving really well towards the end and watch your humidity. And don't get in a hurry to harvest. It's hard to wait but you'll be glad you did. I flushed mine for 10 days. Looking back I think if go even longer maybe. But they turned out great and I was happy with the 13 ounces I got from her dry. Just started a new crop and have 4 autos in each of my small tents. So if I have time to do a journal on here watch for that. :) doing some fast and vast and some sweet coffee Ryder and tai Ryder.

How long did your girls take to finish, did you chop in 70-80 days from seed or run them longer? Plan to start flushing on day 61 and harvest day 71-75 (if they don't look finished by then was going to push flush to 3 weeks), but not sure if I should expect them to run longer. I don't have a fan blowing directly over the tops, but I'm not too concerned about bud rot. Temps are always 77-79F (sometimes 81, but rarely) and RH is always below 50%. There's two fans in the bottom of the tent on either side set to high and facing upward at an angle to create a cross breeze. The tops actually look a bit dry if anything (the leaves that is). Looking forward to checking out your next grow and thanks for the info!

If memory serves they finished about 75 days from seed. Flushing for 3 weeks should be fine. Especially in soil. I harvested when the trics were just a few amber. My temps and humidity were good too it was just that the buds were so big they were pressing against each other and I didn't have a good enough fan in the tent. She was a fun strain to grow and look at. Plenty potent too. :-) smelled awesome. But do make yer you give her enough time.

Day 55

Height - 21" - 29" - 29 1/2" - 31"
Temps - 79-81F
RH - 43-48%

Oh my, oh my, it is getting packed in the tent, some of the leaves on the "door" side are pretty much pressed completely vertical against the wall after closing the tent. Earlier on in the thread I estimated they would end up around 1 1/2' - 2 1/2' and it's looking like I was right on the moneys. The smell seems to be getting more intense every couple days, really strong lemony pine scent.

Some of the upper leaves (the ones most exposed to the light) are rusting around the edges, which you can see in a few of the pics. Not sure if this is normal toward the end, from what I was reading it could be over watering, heat/light burn, salt build up (thinking this is a possibility). Also, some of the upper leaves seem really crispy with no pliability in the tips (the tips will break right off if bent). Temps are fine, the light is air cooled and about 10-12" away from the tops (further from the leaves showing these symptoms). Wondering if maybe it could be under watering, they've only been getting 1L about every 24 hours, going to start checking them twice a day. I'm not too worried about it, will start flushing in 5-6 days and it should be smooth sailing from there. Quite a few of the lower leaves (mostly on the biggest plant) have dried up and died off, but I'm guessing this is normal.

Ordered the beans for round 2 last night, decided to go with Heavyweights 2 Fast 2 Vast. Hopefully they make it through customs the first time around, so I can get started again right away. Going to run two of them in 5 Gal Air Pots and probably do some LST, 4 seems like a bit much for this space.

Day 59

Okay, so I'm having some trouble deciding when to start the flush. Having quite a bit of trouble seeing the trichomes clearly with my 40x jeweler's loupe, but from what I can see they look like they're still mostly clear, couldn't pick out any cloudy trichomes in the ones that I could see clearly, and definitely not any amber. I was going to start flushing tomorrow, but thinking maybe I should feed for a few more days at least.

The smallest and biggest gals pistils I'd say are about 40% amber (they seem to be maturing faster than the medium sized ladies), the other two are 20-30% maybe less. But the colas are getting really, really fat. I'm no expert, but if I had to guess, I'd say just the main cola on the smallest gal would be around 1 Oz. dry right now, and two of her secondary colas are almost the same size. The main colas on the larger and medium sized gals are around 12-15" long and thicker than my forearm. The size is definitely there, just concerned about potency, since most of the trichs that I can see appear to be clear.

I took some pics of the smaller gal, since she seems to be the most mature, not sure how much that will help.

Also, I'm following Tang's Feeding Schedule, and he doesn't PH his flush water. But I'm wondering if I should PH Down a bit since my tap water is around 8-8.5 PH (it seems to vary). Not sure if that much of a PH swing in the last couple weeks will do any harm.

Dedoverde Haze is supposed to be a 70-80 day strain
