I know test strips aren't the best for ph testing but compared to a twenty dollar meter I think accuracy would be about the same. I am going to borrow one from a buddy Monday and will test then. I want all the tools but the meter I want is 60-90 range not 20.

Do you think if the strips are right that I am so high it would effect them like that? 7 water, 5-6 out of drip tray.

U can find HANNA SOIL pens on ebay for 25-35 bro that Milwaukee is another good one ....

@ Peekineeze.....Chill out bra, Ima borrow one on Monday. I aint feeing anytime soon so I will check it out.

I am glad to get feedback but you sound so angry. I am learning. Its a process, a hobby.

I have a special needs child so when money is tight is tight.

I am pretty sure I am going to enjoy this harvest for my first even if its not perfect...again its not for sale.

I will take a photo Monday of H2o Ph on meter and a side by side with test strips.

I like a triple beam but some say the digitals are better. I have a digital and mercury for testin my temp.

til then....:smoke:

As for soil testers I have a Worms Way here...very pricey place and they said as for soil testers they think they are all bs.
Now these folks work off commisssion too so???

Who knows a good soil tester?

Yo bro I found this one just now ....on ebay bro they have tons ....this is similar to my Hanna ...but its a lot cheaper ...stay away from the probe kind with those long probes ....when the probes damage the roots and autos don't like root damage .....there is also a shaker kit u add a small sample of dirt add water then a capsule and shale it up but it goes by. 5 s so getting exact is hard .....

Good luck bro ...if u can get by for now I'd saveand get a Hanna for around 100 $ when u can ....u get what u pay for bro ...

Also u can use vinegar to make sure its correct ...I believe vinegar should read 6.0 ....thatswhat the bottle says and the vinegar here says 6.0 and my pen tests 6.0

Huh? I haven't a clue as to why you would think I'm angry. "No, it won't"? That's angry? How else am I supposed to write it? I wasn't screaming at the keyboard or anything. I'm just passing on what I know to be true from experience.

if you are looking for SOIL ph meter, get the one that Muddy and a few others use. Most of those cheap soil ph testers are very inaccurate. I can't think of the name off the top of my head but if I come across it, I will post it here. EDIT- I think that its called Control Wizard Accurate8, but not 100% sure.

Check out Killijin's thread called Newbies Tools too. https://www.autoflower.org/f44/newbie-tools-what-needed-why-come-contrbute-7445.html
He suggests a mid-level LIQUID ph pen that works really well. I bought one and it has been very accurate with no problems so far. It was around $60 including shipping. Good luck and happy growing! :peace:
