Hi guys,

after reading on autoflower.net a lot and having learned a lot, I decided to introduce me a little bit.
I've done some stealth outdoor grows in the past years, but nothing worth mentioning.
After being a little "under pressure" (a long green-smoke-pause) a friend of mine gave me a 80x80x160cm tent and some basic equpiment.
I bought 125W LED and one 125 electrox dual cfl and the setup was ready.

That was mid last year, and was with 4 different seeds: auto nl, whie cheese auto (dinafem) and 2 think different.
I grew on soil - homemade with some hawita flor as base.
Nutritions were - and till are Advanced hyroponics 3 part, sensizym, calmag and bigbud from AN.
They were added to - I learned here - bubbled water - very nice. I recognized that you can give them more water if bubbled, and I think thats why only one was overwatered ;-)

The result was not bad for the first try, after overfeeding, overwatering the NL and some ph issues, when I switched from rain-water to tap water.
180g dry stuff from 4 plants.

I didn't do pictures of the whole plants, I only took some closeups to see if it's time to chop.

The second run has now finished with another fine result - this time I grew only td to get a feeling for all the setup. I only added some rhizotonic to my nutes for the start and soil was buibuzz allmix.
This time, no closeups were possible - cam was in holiday :-)
In the end of the run the cfl was replaced with a further 125W led, which is now my complete setup. But this last led seems to me to have a too narrow focus for my tent - lets see in the third run.
Here are the pics - if you look closely you'll see bud-mold on one :-/ 5g superdry waste :-/ - I waited too long for amber.

now my third run.
This time I have 3 star ryder and one last white cheese.
2 sr and the wc will be in soil - for "security"...and one - seymour buds to blame - in DWC :-)
As I have not seen any difference with the soil, I'll switch back to hawita flor, but I'll be able to compare one more time, because one sr will sit in the rest of the allmix.

So on soil, nothing too strange should happen I hope :-)

Now to my DWC setup.
Its homebrew, but works. It took me a time to learn to use my tap water over rain water - its hard to sterilize and i didn't get PH tuned in.
My tap-water has a base ec of .76.
I added the base nutritients and it only rose to 1.4 - I exprected al least 1.7 (i read the target ec of the mix should be around 1.1).
So does anyone have experience <edit> especially with advanced hydroponics of holland nutes </edit> in DWC ? The star ryder seem to be nutritient-sensitive and I don't wanna do them too much harm.

So I added a little more, not only the base nutes, but rhizotonic to get it up to 1.6 and upped some calmag, as I have seen the deficients on soil already (th LED problem - to get temperatures up i simply blow the warm air from the top of the tent down to the roots - works!).
Now with all added to the 20°C water, tuned PH to 5.9 the ec value is about 1.86-.76 (base ec of tap-water) =~1.1 .
Is that OK?
The girl grows nice and looks nice and green. Hopefully it'l keep going :-)

Hopefully you'll see a good apprentice, and I wanna thanks SO MUCH so far for all the good Input, that led me to this point.

I'll update eventually and will for sure be back with some questions.

If my english isn't perfect - I'm not a native speaker, but i'll try my best.

So hello everyone, I hope we'll have some fun here together, but please don't be too angry on lazy updates or late answers...I've plenty to do all day in "real life".

Cheers,

puh, fixed it and avoided the preview-function :-) was near to become the silly dork of the afn with this first post :-) - I'm totally new to these web-forums and editors.

Hello and welcome to the AFN. I see you've already had a couple runs with some success too. Very cool. Continue to read up on all that you can and we'll be here if you need us. I have a few really informative links down in my signature that I recommend checking out when you have the time. Cheers. :D
