New Grower my littel stinker

she is 12 days old and stinks like a little piggy so I had to install my carbon filter today. Right now im running 2-6500k 820 lum 14 watt bulbs in reflectors hangeing 4" above her and 2- 6500k 1450 lum 32 watt on the roof. Ill have to add more light later on when she gets bigger . Ph is 6.9 and im feeding her moon dust 1/4 tea per gallon for now temps are 78 deg & 38% humidity . I wish they would have separated the beans so that I new what she was but I guess time will tell .

yep its from a Buddha assorted pack so It will be red or white dwarf / syrup /deimos only time will tell

Looking good bro; quick question though; how are the plugs from your lights plugged into that surge protector? It looks like they are just hanging from it; do you have something supporting them? Or is all that weight hanging down from the outlet? At first glance that looks really dangerous. Just don't want to see you start a fire! :karma Cloud:

Might want to re-think that carbon filter too,No way is that going to keep up when shes older

Running a cab a bit smaller than yours (17" x 17" x 4') and i still get the odd smell with a store bought fan & filter

Well the filter can always be up graded right now it has a nylon stocking pulled over a expandable 4" diameter dryer pipe that's 12" long with a round piece of carbon filter material in the end holding about 3" of activated charcoal with another piece of carbon filter material on top to hold it together so I can add another 6" of activated carbon if needed . I just up the lights to 4-100 watt 6500k cfl bulbs that have a total of 5800 luems hanging 6" above the subject and yes the plugs are now tied to the roof with zip ties so they wont fall .

So this morning I go down to check on her and she has RUST !!!!! Spots !!!! checked my water in the bucket and the ph was 6.3 hummm so I figure ill check the tap water its 7.1 ok Ill just mix a new batch and all will be good .... right ...wrong . First I fill the bucket with water then set my PH to 6.8 then add the moon dust all should be good... but when I check the PH its 6.1 ???? hummm . So I do it over this time I mix the nuts first and check the PH now its 6.6 so that tells me the moon dust is dropping my PH ??? live and learn . So what should my PH be 6.8 ? 6.9 ? 7.0 ? Im going to have to get some PH up at the fishy store today .
