Hi everyone, my first grow was not a complete disaster (got around 40g total net dry weight from 5 babies), and I learned some important lessons as something went bad last 3-weeks and they simply didn't feed well at all.

Just to remember myself:
(and please, if you want to correct me or give your opinion, do it, i am here to learn)

- Autos are time-critical, first 2-3 weeks are very important, basic plant and root structure are developed these days, and from 21 days get off the first 6-8 because germination. Very light and not well developed roots means a small plant which is not going to eat well. So, using 20/4 these weeks, i think is a good idea (maybe the rest until harvest)

- Germination went bad for me (survived 5 from 12 seeds), definitively i am not using the same kitchen-paper I used last time, possibly using cotton, or a germinator, or directly to soil (i like this last one)

- Once the plant starts eating itself, and gets yellow and yellow... I was unable to recover it, flushing roots and correctly giving it more nutrients, just keep them alive until the end, but don't recover. At least this was my experience, and I learned that a week of time is critic, don't think "well, it's ok, it's going to be better" next week.

- In my first grow, some users told me about maybe ph was bad, i measured every water i feed them, but... just remember to calibrate my ph and ec tools before new grow.

- Every time you feed water is important. I water them just until a bit of water run-off, not to much, let's say around 50ml or so. The most water they drink in my 7L pots was around 1L in the last week pre-harvest. Watering them too much is worse than watering just right.

- I got a nutrient that gets feed only 1 time per week. In the beginning, I thought this is best because only have to use it 1 per week. But no, feeding them just 1 time per week, was worse. If you do something wrong, you fucked that entire week of feeding. If you feed them 2/3 times, it's less difficult to do things right. At least this was my newbie experience. Doing a thing fewer times, you get less opportunities to do it right every-time.

- I used only the Trabe Bachumus Evolution grow/flora, at 4ml/week. This time i bought new nutrients to complement these. I got Radical Flower, Hemplex (quelp nutrient), Mycoplant (Endomicorrizas ), Bactomatik Rex (selected bacterias for autoflower plants), and Deeper Underground (by topcrop).

I think this time they will eat better than my first grow. Curious about Bactomatik Rex, because it's developed for autoflowers?, this is what it contains
  • Bacillus azotofixans.
  • Paenibacillus azotoformans.
  • B. megaterium.
  • B. coagulans.
  • Sacharomyces cerevisiae.
  • B. pumilus.
  • LactobacilLus acidophilus.
  • Sacharomyces cerevisiae.
Maybe someone knows more about these.

Finally, I used a 2xcitizen cob led, 200w. Someone gave me a Solux 150w 6500K, I plan to use this only the first 7-10 days, and then add the 200w led, having the solux also until the end.
What do you think about this? Not useful?

Thanks everyone, next post I'll talk about the seeds and my initial feeding plan.

Getting nervous here... :D

hiya :pass:got the first grow out of the way:dang:can be a scary experience:dammit:onwards to second grow :smokeit: keep posting
good luck n keep er lit.
:pighug:

Your first grow is out of the way, it’s the most stressful. Now relax and build upon your first success. You got Many friendly and experienced growers here to help you along. I plant my seeds directly in soil, never was able to get the hang of that paper towel germination lol. Good luck, I’ll be following along for your grow.
