New Grower My setup

icebox.jpgPlaying around with a few different configurations of the tent. Really trying to run it sealed, but temps were 96F. I decided to make my own icebox chiller. What doguys think? Its a universal oil/trans/ power steering cooler. I have a water cooler that im going to try and run as a chiller to save a few bucks. Has anyone else run their own iceboxes?

Got the chiller built and picked up a 300 gph pump. Pics to follow

Well the water cooler attempt for chiller went well until I tried clean up the setup and broke the tiny freon tube. The water was cold enough to produce ice a 5 gallon bucket. My temps dropped from 96f to 76f . I'm gonna invest in a chiller because this test went so well.

Anticipation... It's making me wait...
Things are looking good. Have you decided when to plant?
Sending good vibes your way for a great beginning!!!

Thanks for the vibes, the anticipation is killing me as well, I have everything I need now [scored a 1/3 HP chiller nib off craigslist for 120$) the timing just isn't right to start now, family first of course. Plus this gives me time to have my setup dialed in and ready to rock in late march when I'll finally have the time to devote to my ladies and ensure a proper grow. But until then I'll just keep researching and improving my setup. I'd just like to thank everyone for the positive experience on this forum and for the guidance received from many different people on various cultivation aspects. (AFN is night and day to me when compared to some other forums out there). Thanks again guys!

Everything minus a co2 monitor. But since Muddy helped me out with sealing tent up I should be able to run co² on a timer if need be, but I'll definitely have the monitor by then I hope lol. Also anyone who has heat problem should look into making the chillerbox. Works miracles for under 30$ (plus your method of cooling the water) I definetly glad I didn't drop the 150$ on the store bought version.

Hey guys I didn't forget about you! I'm all setup and have 3 do seedlings going that are about 3 days old now. Planted in 5 gallon fabric pots under a 600w spectra led. I had to make the switch from hps. My new place couldn't handle the 1000w, chiller and fans. I'll post pics and continue to update as this will be my journal

For soil I went ffof with light warrior and perlite. For nutes I'll be using heavy 16's full line. I plan on growing 2 more plants separately for seed procurement. I have 2 more 280 watt led panels on the way
