i just break up by hand.my tube is only 5g i use 1/4 ish of a can.when you start squirting first liquid comes out a yellowish colour.when it turns clear stop.
use a broom handle or the likes to just snug the material down.

yes i just lightly put it through the processor quick( all the big fan leaves and shit) i do this so my tube dont get clogged. my tube runs 1oz every time

I am going to blast the rest of my autmazar. No need for decarb. You say not to grind...do you crush the buds in any other way?
I know @tripaholic88 uses a food processor at a particular point in his dryingprocess.

Also, is there a rule for how much butane is needed per weight unit of weed?
I have this small tube. It takes like 17 g grinded material when the weed is packed by gravitation. Next time, I will apply some preassure and fill it more, as recommened by @tripaholic88.

yeah pack as much material in as possible, also yes you want to grind up the weed with your hands so it does not bust up the cell walls and let all the Chlorophyll out into the extraction process. One 10 oz can of tane is enough for 1 ounce of material generally speaking, I used to do that by rule but then realized I was wasting tane and adding purging time. Basically you want to run the tane through til it runs clear into your pyrex [HASHTAG]#dabchurch[/HASHTAG]

thanks for all the info im drying my materials as we speak this is how i will purge mine also has anyone used a food saver type of device i seen one on ebay with a electric pump cheap or would i be wasting my money for the purge

That is the better way to do it! heat guns should NEVER be even NEAR butane, not to say used for a purge. If its "bubbling like spit", its still giving off enough butane to explode. Maybe not enough to directly cause damage but imagine hot oil landing on your face and body...........

You can set a pan of water on an induction plate to keep the water warm or just use a large pan for the water bath.

Can the oil be softened by keeping the pyrex in hot water?
Don't have a heat gun.

Keep anything electric away from butane.
Never use open fire sources, handle electrical sockets or smoke anywhere in the house or outside on the premisses, as long as there is butane in the air.

Be extremely paranoid with safety! A gas explosion is no joke.

I only use boiled water ad heat source. Then ethanol recrystslisation to get rid of traces of gas.

Decarb your plant material in the oven @ 250F for 27 minutes for best conversion. I use 250F and 26 minutes to allow for variation in home oven temps.

I was reading about oils in the infamous Wikipedia. Information form that source has to be checked and double checked.

What I found is that our material contains lots of THC-A, the inactive, acid form of THC. The wiki article says the carboxylic acid form, which is an inactive form of THC has poor solubility in solvents. Also, the carboxy-THC needs decarboxylation for being psychoactive.

Could the plant material be toasted in the oven for decarboxylation?
I don't care about terpens, if they are lost. I want to get the goodies out and to maximize goodies, it seems like a decarboxylation protocol should be designed.

you need to feed your liver before consuming edibles then. Eat something high in fat as the liver will process that before the thc, allowing it to get to your blood stream

I have to smoke it. I can eat 10 g hash with no effect what so ever.
