Outdoor N.E Scotland guerrilla grow

Nice plants Canna, those super autos are worth it as the smoke is good and there should be lots of it ! Youll be cutting it fine up there i did supercalihaze and superstinky a couple of seasons ago and started getting mould at the start of september, got a good stash though, this year my super autos are already buggered ones been killed by the wind and the other was a half speed mutant which is also battered.
Good luck
Thanks for the info about the mold! I lost pretty much 3 ww autos last year cos of mold, my fault tho. It was a rushed grow and they were in a crap spot. Its making me seriously think about a cheap plastic green house for the autos now. Sorry to hear the weather has buggered yours mate, do you still have more going good tho man?

Just bought the chaze. cant wait like and looking for a spot for a plastic portable greenhouse for 1 of them. I plan on cutting a hole on a side for air ventilation

I know a few ppl who done think different in Scotland last year. My friend is doing chaze and boss Marley's super autos this year too. Are you thinking about doing them yourself Dr doobs?

Hi there -
I'm a novice grower in the North East too. I'll be tagging along and trying to learn what i can -so thanks for taking the time to post stuff.
My experience is limited- last year;
Planted 2 Autos (Blueberry and Mazzar i think) in the polytunnel, mid July. Started them off in wee pots then put them in the ground.
They grew well but mould got them bad when they were a few weeks off harvesting. I think sharing a grow space with a hose-happy tomato grower may have been the cause but hey ho..

This year I thought id get on it early but may have been too hasty.
Stuck 4no. Cash Crop Autos and 4no. 2vast 2fast in peat pellets in 3rd week in March.
Put them under a T5 for a couple of weeks 18/6
Poly Plant 1.jpg
- out in the shed with a heater cos it was super cold at nights.
Put them into big pots straight off, an then stuck the lot in the poly tunnel. Pots were filled with Canna professionl and a low peat % garden centre compost. I also put a couple of handfulls of vermiculite in and a tiny bit of blood and bone too- for good measure.
Had some freezing cold nights here- we live in a bit of a frost basin and it got down to -5 some nights.
On these nights I covered them with another layer of plastic just above - but it was still like 5 degrees regular, pretty chilly.
Maybe I was a bit hasty to get them out....

Anyway 57 days in, nothing but water, seaweed extract fertiliser (twice very weak) and some hen-dropping tea (once) and heres how they look.
I'm led to believe that the flowering times advertised are in lab conditions, so I'm not too worried that there not covered in buds yet... just hoping that they develop soon tho!!

Kinda wishing I would have hung off till the warmer weather but there's plenty of summer ahead for more.
Here's some pics taken this morningpoly plant 2.jpg Poly Plant 1.jpg poly plant 3.jpg poly plant 4.jpg
Any thoughts and advice much appreciated-
Thanks

Thanks!
I'm just glad they've survived the cold.

Planning to stick a few non autos in now the weather is better. Just wondering if it may be too early tho, as they wouldn't get 12/12 til September- by which time in the polytunnel they might be monsters!
Anyone have any experience of taking outdoor plants in and finishing them under lights? Or should I just whack 'em straight into the ground outside and see what happens?
With such a late spring and continued cold weather here, maybe the tail end of the year will be warmer...

Hows it going mate, your plants are looking good man!. I wouldn't worry that there not covered in buds either mate. They'll be slowed down a wee bit cos of the cold temp at night. My photo periodic plants have slowed too. i never go by the breeder times man, there just a guideline set in a professional environment. if the last few days are anything to go by, it looks like the weather is on the up. it been quality here!

This is my auto purple mazar, she's 9 days into flower today and doing great. I'm really happy with her. She's outside getting around 13 hours of direct sunlight per day. And being put under the 300w at night time. Per liter she's on, 1ml of solar green power, 1ml of advanced meta boost, 0.25ml of flower burst and 1ml of topmax. They'll be up'd on the next feed. Just now she's drinking 4L of water every 3 days.

The rest of my autos were pre- germed on monday, they all took 22hrs to show a root. So into soil they went on the 26/5. I potted,
3x KVS
2x BMS
1x Critical Soma. They will be started under a light until their second set of leafs are through then into final 25L pots and put outside to finish.

They look great! Those pots are monster - I think I should try bigger pots.. some of the smaller leaves are dying off and I wonder if they are struggling for space..
Any issues taking them in and out?
I was planning to put some photsoperiods out in the polytunnel until they were decent size then finish under lights- to try and avoid mold and cold.

Could possibly be wind burn bro, are they being blown about hard? If not the next thing I'd suggest as its affecting the older leafs first is maybe a cal/mag deficiency man
