Outdoor N.E Scotland guerrilla grow

@drdoobs how's things buddy? All my auto seeds have broken soil now except the auto critical soma. The weather going into June is looking like its gonna pick up. Bout time! Its been a wet n windy few days here. Auto Purple mazar has been kept inside under the light because of it. First pics is the KVS, the second is the BMS

Also new to these forums - will be watching this thread closely as I also outdoor grow AF's but in East Central Scotland. After such a sunny warm May last year like other posters I started mine a bit prematurely, (2x Northern Lights Auto - 3x Diesel Ryder Auto - 2x Mighty Midget Auto).

Seeing other people starting under lights is obviously the way to go as this year May has been dull overcast and cold, this time last year (and the year previous) I was in the ground by now, but this year they are all stretching for light (south facing windowsill) - I'm hoping that as soon as the weather gets better (blowing gales and 5degC nights last couple of weeks) I can get them into the coldframe to get more light and harden off. The NLs and a couple of the Diesel Ryders will have to fend for themselves in the flowerbeds - the others will stay in a high sided coldframe where at least the lid can be closed at night if it's colder - it really only extends the season by a few weeks either way but that can be the difference between a good crop and an 'ach it was fun trying' kind of year.

To be honest I don't expect much from this year unless we get a really good June/July/August.

And as per other posters keep an eye out for mould or take preventative steps. August last year was warm n wet and I had to harvest a couple of Low Ryder 2's and a NL earlier than I would have liked or risk loosing the crop.

As I come from Aberdeen what you well get from the N.E. of Scotland (I classify the NE as everything from the Mearns North) - is a good deal of day length) but this doesn't help with the photoperiod plants which fair poorly unless you have a greenhouse or something to put them in from late August. When I lived on a farm (many moons ago) there were no Autos and the ability to add some climate control was the only way extend the growing because the northern latitude meant that plants were only mid bloom when the first frosts hit.

Now I live in a city - don't give a toss - my doctor prescribes and rotates my Opiate painkillers - and if one of the neighbours wants to grass me up for growing a few plants (since the area I grow in is technically communal tho I'm the only one to do do any gardening to keep it looking nice) I'm quite happy to stand my day in court and spout the hypocrisy of the whole UK situation.
Have spoken to most of my neighbours and they are all OK with it - so he ho - bring on 2015 and lets prey for an excellent June and July.

How's it going spliffscott, like you I had my white widows out in may last year. Hopefully these 20℃+ temps that are expected by this coming weekend come. The 60mph winds predicted for this week have me scared to put my plant out tbh. She's staying inside until the weather improves.
I'm a little south of where you are, I'm in the Tayside area.

The photoperiod plants I have out are just to see how they get on. Thanks for that info regarding them man. I fear I may just have to leave them be and just call them 'lost'. I've spaced them to far apart to get away with putting a greenhouse over them. I'll most likely dig them up before the root mass gets to big and reposition them closer now.
The autos are my main project, they were always getting the most of my attention this season.

@drdoobs, the 2 plants on the far right in the first pic are 2 chaze by flash seeds. Their 20 days from seed and growing very fast. There needing bigger shoes on asap. After 19 days there was lots of roots coming outta the bottom of the pot. Be ready for yours to explode with growth mate!, theres also 2 the ogres, 2 royal queen skunks, 1 diesel Ryder and 1 boss Marley in there. My mate hopes to have them all out at his plot in the next two days.

Here's a few up to date pics of my purple mazar too. These were taken on Monday (day 14 of bloom). It looks like she's finished her stretch now as I can't see an obvious change in her height. Including the pots she's around 3ft tall. Hopefully she's into full blown bud production now.

The babies are, in the black pots 3x KVS tho one seems to be struggling with its shell. In the red pot is 1 auto critical soma. And in the white pots are 2x boss Marley's, I think i may lose one of those tho cos the seed shell is stuck tight on it. I put a drip of water on it this morning to try and soften the membrane and free it out.

I'm actually in Central Scotland - but started growing back in Aberdeen in my er youth lol - I have several photo-period seeds but tbh didnt bother - sometimes better to give those freebies to an indoor grower imo - will be interesting to see how they get on - just watch out for males if they aren't feminised. In fact keep an aye on them all anyway - it wouldn't be the 1st time a batch of seeds went out as regulars rather than feminised - cough Herbies last year - to their credit they did give me a credit note which I used for this years grow.

My girls bar one - which was/is a mutated Mighty Midget Auto (it only sprang one cotyledon and has been throwing leaves closely spaced but not in pairs so one each side at a time (personally this is my wee baby << and sometimes the weird ones are the best so she's still got the windowsill and a supplementary CFL over her - the runt of the litter so to speak), the rest have gone to the coldframe now - although last night might have been a bit of a shock as temps hit 10 deg C (in the coldframe) - but one of the Diesel Ryders had started to flower and the missus was complaining about the smell (there's always an early bird - the plant not the missus) so they had to go out anyway.

The coldframe gets opened up whatever the weather during the day (unless totally pouring as I like to keep watering under control so that I can feed em) and closed off at night for the next couple of weeks - then they go out into the flowerbeds - prepared soil with compost and some fertilized supplements. I just cut out the bottom of the pot and let them do their thing - could probably get higher yields with a bit more care but I'm just experimenting to see what works here before perhaps a larger grow in the wilds somewhere - I have my eye on some canal banking and field edges that are only used as grassland << the other kind.

But having had mould before I suspect I'd want one of each variety to hand so that I could spot any problems developing without frequent field visits - harvesting time has always been (for me at least) should I leave em a few more days or not kind of conundrum.

nice one mate, mines are still in the post, raging like. and im pooping it to check my photos after that windy as fuck 2 days , prop blew away nah hopefully my wind shields work on the bigger ones. had a polly tunnel on my little ones... hope that's there

good to hear mate. I haven't been upto my spot since the windy rainy 2 days but were looking good. got my other 3 photos out still little but under a polly tunnel with john innes 2 , first time using it with the original soil , itlooks great and passed the soil ph test. plants were looking great though. even though its sunny its still windy as fuck!

Hi guys, just a wee updated on my purple mazar. Today is day 21 of flower and day 39 from seed. She's coming on nicely, quite a bit of frost starting to show on her now.
The 3 KVS and critical soma are growing well, still small so nothing to look at really lol. I lost one of my boss Marley's, it couldn't shed its shell. So it shriveled up n died.

I'll Hopefully have a few pic of my photos later today as I'm planning to go see em. I've not seen them in 3 weeks! Haha

Here's some pics of my photoperiod ones. Their all doing ok except one c99. That one looks like its had some root damage. Its still the same size it was when planted 3 weeks ago, you can't win em all ay!
I'll go to them again this coming weekend for a good dose of grow feed and I'll top them and lollypop the trunk.
