Seeing I don't get much respect around here I will be leaving AFN for greener pastures and i'm going in search of the Holy Grail.Wow, I can here all the cheering way up here in the north country.Na,just kidding,but I will be off more this summer because i'm going back to an old hobby I used to do called treasure hunting.I'm buying a new metal detector that is supper advanced compared to my old one.When it locates a coin it tells you if it is a penny,nickel,quarter etc and then it tells you how deep it is.It also has many more features that make it a super detector.I will then get off my fat ass and get some excersize and sunshine while i'm having fun.Now I just have to wait until the ground thaws and off I go.:grin::peace:

For real. I've always wanted to do that. I've only got to play with a basic metal detector when I was around 12 years old. Now 24. I bet they've advanced a bunch!

Even if you were joking a bit, I just wanted to say, you are very well respected on this forum! You bring us salient, useful, interesting information. Hope we see you back after a while!

You folks wouldn't believe whats in the ground! I metal detect as part of my job (land surveyor) looking for corners. I've found all sorts of fun stuff and that was with something that won't read non-ferrous metals. Most often it was more fun finding the corner, especially when it was set in the 1800's. Something that would find gold and silver, man if I swung that through all the woods I've ever walked through, certainly I'd be a wealthy man. Good luck man, thanks for the helpful hints dropped in my noob posts. AFN will be less great by its loss.
