DIY Nate's new room.

natertots, for a 5 x 5 x 6 foot area, you have 150 square feet of space. Filter minimum is 200 cfm for that space and simply put, anything above the intake fans you have, will be too much for your current filter. You simply need something a little bigger. Remember, you cant put a price on stealth or smell!:thumbsup:No need drawing ANY attention to your home!

Thanks man! What equation you use to get that for future reference? Thinking I may just do 4x5x6 instead cause I was probably going to have to add some cfls to make sure my girls are all covered with light. If I do 4x5x6 it saves me the headache of adding a bunch of cfls and venting problems. This is what i went off of to get my numbers. http://botanical.com/hydro/air/calculating_fan_requirements.html

Thats too much math for my stoner brain!! Got the info right off the Phresh filter web site!:thumbsup: They do all the work for ya!

Most folks think getting a bigger filter than their space requirements will last longer and they dont. If you short change the square feet and go with a smaller filter than what is required, you'll get into flower and the smell will run you out of the house and you'll have to buy a bigger filter anyway.

Thank again. A cording to that website if I do 4x5x6 I should be good. I haven't nailed anything together yet so I may play with the dimensions some more. Won't be back at it till saturday.

Hey, nater :smoking:
I think you'll be good with the 190/filter. As the filter ages/usage, you should keep an eye on things. The more mung the more CFMs... But, you should be in specs :coffee:

I used a 240 (?) CFM/4 inch with my first 4x8 Jardin tent, and other than an upgrade/gift, I'd still be using it.

Good Karma to you on the project! I'll try to keep up on your progress :thumbsup:

:pass::headbang:

Thanks man! Think I'm gonna give it a go. I'm getting conflicting info on the net. When you go to the different filter/fan sites and use their calculators they're all say different things hehe. But I found the equation I used multiple times. I'm thinking the fan websites are either trying to upsell or covering their bases to make sure no scent gets out. Truth is I don't have to have the odor controlled I just want it. This filter has 1 grow under it and I didn't use till I started smelling them. So about 2 months. If it starts to smell I'll order a bigger one, I eventually will have to anyways.

I'll have pics up tonight or tomorrow. Comeing along faster than I thought. I added a small inline fan to the mix. Was 10 bucks when I went to hardware store so I thought why not. Think I'll have it all framed and sheetrocked today. New light should be here tomorrow. I recycled some lumber and I'm using drywall sheets left over from some jobs so the total I have in it so far is $103 for light and $165 I spent at store today. Takei pics along the way.

Look forward to seeing the other pictures natertots, that's a nice space you have there.

Best of luck with construction, I will be following :pass:

Sorry for no pics. Trying to get this wrapped up then gonna unpack puter and send pics. Will be done today and have pics tonight! (I hope)

Well got her muded and painted today :D. All I have left is set up my pots, set up my fan and filter, cut hole in upstairs floor and put in register, hook up small inline fan and poot some beans down. I've decided to do all the pics at once when I'm done. But here is one with paint still wet.
