Hello everybody, I have a few years experience working indoors with photoperiod plants. Moving outdoor to autos. So need some help. here are my needs hopefully someone can help out.

1. for our weather would like to plant middle to end of may, and be harvesting in late august early september. end of september at very latest. we sometimes get snow in oct. not always but dont wanna risk being stuck with nothing for the year or paying outragous prices.

2. Strains must be mold resistant as it is very humid here in the summer. we have 10,000 lakes in this state.

3. Short to medium plants preferable to keep from prying eyes.

Ok now for the type of strains we are interested and how much we need to make it through the year.

1. our daily smoke. want a very euphoric non couchlock but not tweaker in the head feeling. nice mellow good tasting smoke. my favorite headstash was always dj shorts blueberry. I know DP has his original work was kinda lookin at their auto blueberry. Open to other strains to just need a good everyday smoke. Need a minimum of 12oz's to make it through the year comforatably.

2. our social smoke. We usually enjoyed mr nice black widow for when friends came over and such. energizing laughing social smoke. Just looking for all around energizing happy talkative strain for when we have company over. only need about 4oz give or take to last the year. Not as important as having enough of our daily smoke.

3. this is the heavy hitting indica. not as important as either of the other 2 but still nice to have. just a nice heavy hitting sleepy indica. I think that explains it enough haha. only need about 4oz give or take to last the year.

just looking for strain ideas, harvest time and average yield so I know how many I need to plant. I know yield is variable im not trying to produce commercial amounts, Just enough for my wife and I to make next season. getting ready now so i can order the seeds and make my own feminized to last years to come.

Sorry very specific but thats the best way I could think of to get the advice I need :D

thanks everyone

Welcome to the show!!! We, Molly & I really like the Himalayan Blue Diesel from ShortStuff. We live above 7200 ft. and these were some sturdy, hearty bitches. We have a lot of pics of a few real successful HBD grows both indoors & outside...some even in the snow. Good luck and keep us posted. Puff, puff, pass

Thanks fatswaller! Looking into the strain. Is that a everyday euphoric kinda smoke or whats the high like?

One of the most popular strains is the WOS AKR (look at tag cloud to the right, it's the first one).
It has a wonderful hashy smell, very indica, but the stone isn't massive couchlock, at least for me. Easy to grow, disease resistant.

I like trying strains, but the next grow I am going back to AKR, and lay in a supply of that
to cover me for a while. Then I can take a chance on something else.

I tried some last year
that made me quite happy, but my friend didn't know the name of the strain. I'd like to
grow that.

Thanks for the info. looked into it seems like a decent yielding auto. which is nice can cut back on how many I grow

Hey man I'm an old photo grower also who is just now experimenting with autos! If you have a few days to kill, go check out the smoke/grow reports, great info in there.. I also grow for me and the wife and it's great! Will experiment with a few outdoor autos next spring I think. My social smoke vote is for Super Lemon Haze, watch your friends try to keep their shit together! I've heard some great stories with that one, blah blah blah blah, heeeeey you got anything to eat? Haha, good luck bud!

Think about a journal here, it's a great site with lots of helpful people!

Ok guys and gals so far I've come up with this choice for my everyday smoke.

Dutch Passion's auto blueberry.

I chose this since DP has the original work of blueberry from dj short. Before he moved on with his own seed company and reworked it. So I thought it would be a good choice for a blueberry auto, Since Dj short doesn't do autos.

Only thing I noticed upon reading is she may be a finicky feeder. that worries me a bit since my style of growing is making soil mixes and watering only. And if I make the mix to hot it may pose a problem for me. But I also don't want to make it to light either.

Looks like it takes about 10 weeks from seed. Never grown DP seeds so not sure how accurate timeframe they give. But if it's right I should harvest in Aug. Looks like they took it all the way to F5 so Hoping for stability in this auto.

Anyone have any experience with this lady?

Read mixed reviews on this. Does it exhibit alot of the traits of Afghan Kush?

Welcome selfreliance!! The AKR is indeed a great strain. The trick to her will be to let her go 80 + days to amber up. I dont care if you hit her with silica, she will droop under her own weight at the end, looking to snap her own branches if done right. 20% + THC to boot. One of the most powerful autos to date. And yes, being she comes from world of seeds, her genetics are top notch Afghan Kush!! Trust that she wont disappoint!! There are too many great grow journals and smoke reports on her as well. Happy growing..
